Black Ops 7 is officially being revealed soon, but when?

The launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is still months away, but we're inching closer to the worldwide reveal of the newest game in the franchise. We don't know much about the next installment as of yet, but the reveal should include a Campaign trailer and some other details about multiplayer and Zombies straight from Activision and Treyarch.

Traditionally, the new Call of Duty is revealed sometime in July, but Activision is waiting a little longer this time around. Below, you can see the exact date for the official reveal of Black Ops 7 and where you can watch it.

Black Ops 7 worldwide reveal date

Black Ops 7 will be fully revealed to the world at the beginning of Gamescom 2025 on Tuesday, August 19. The newest Call of Duty title is slated to kick off the event, but all we know is that the reveal will take place. We don't know what the reveal will consist of, how long the time slot for BO7 is, or any possible announcements following the event.

Gamescom frontman Geoff Keighley announced that the opening of Gamescom 2025 will start at 2:00 p.m. ET on Aug. 19. This is the time when the BO7 portion of the show will begin, so make sure you're tuned into the Gamescom channel on Twitch, YouTube, X, or another streaming platform if you want to watch live.

What happens after Gamescom?

As we said before, the BO7 reveal will almost surely feature a trailer that showcases the Campaign and other elements of the game, such as multiplayer and Zombies. However, we likely won't see a ton of details on multiplayer or Zombies until the COD Next event, which has become an annual tradition that sees content creators test out the newest game for their audiences.

With the worldwide reveal of the game taking place in August, COD Next likely won't occur until September. Then, following the event, we should see the multiplayer beta of BO7 arrive a week or two after COD Next.

In between all of these major dates and events, we might see Activision and Treyarch release some content about BO7. Whether that's blog posts, YouTube videos, or threads on X, we'll likely see small snippets of the game to keep the hype train rolling before BO7 eventually launches in October or November.

That's all we have on Black Ops 7 and its worldwide reveal for now. Stay tuned to esports.gg for more esports news and Call of Duty coverage.
