The most iconic map in Call of Duty history is returning soon in Black Ops 7.

The post-launch cycle of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to be the biggest in the franchise's history. Treyarch has promised seven new 6v6 multiplayer maps before the end of Season 1, and we already know what one of those seven maps will be. Nuketown has been confirmed to arrive in Black Ops 7, but it won't be available right at the launch of the game on Nov. 14.

Instead, players will have to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on the iconic map. Below, you can see exactly when Nuketown is slated to arrive in Black Ops 7 and some additional screenshots of how it's going to look in-game.

Nuketown coming to Black Ops 7 after launch

Since Black Ops 4, Nuketown has not been a core launch map for any Black Ops title. However, Treyarch always brings Nuketown back before Season 1, usually giving players a couple of weeks with the core launch maps.

In Black Ops 7, there are 18 total multiplayer maps, with 16 of those being designated for 6v6 game modes. After Nuketown arrives, that will make 17 6v6 maps available in multiplayer, with six more coming before the end of Season 1.

Fortunately, players won't have to wait until Season 1 to play Nuketown. As always, Treyarch is bringing Nuketown into multiplayer "shortly after" the launch of Black Ops 7. We didn't get an exact release date for the map, but if past Black Ops titles are any indication, we should be seeing Nuketown before December rolls around.

When Nuketown does eventually get added into the game, players will see a brand new iteration of the map, complete with a fresh design and colors. The map looks more like a reimagining of the Black Ops 2 version of Nuketown, which makes sense given that Black Ops 7 is meant to be a spiritual successor to that game.

Nuketown looks extremely colorful in BO7, and that certainly matches the rest of the multiplayer maps available at launch. Treyarch has made an intentional decision to make the maps more vibrant, so it should be exciting to see what else the developers have up their sleeves for the other six maps coming throughout Season 1.
