The Endgame is a new game mode in Black Ops 7, and here’s what you need to know about it.

There is a slew of content coming at the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. From a jam-packed multiplayer to a Zombies mode that sees the reimagining of the classic Tranzit map, Treyarch has plenty in store when the new game drops on Nov. 14. However, one of the more intriguing pieces of launch content in Black Ops 7 is the Campaign Endgame.

The Endgame was revealed at Gamescom 2025, and Treyarch developers briefly talked about what the mode is and how it ties into the Campaign. Many players are still confused about exactly how the Endgame is going to look in Black Ops 7, though. So, to help clear the air, you can read the guide below to find out everything we know about the Campaign Endgame.

The Endgame can be thought of as the final mission in BO7's Campaign. Once you've completed every other mission in the single-player mode, you'll venture into the Endgame, which expands to include other real players in an open world environment. You and a lobby of up to 32 other players will join the Endgame mission, but you don't have to necessarily interact with those other players.

Instead, every player will have a set of goals to complete. Those goals involve PvE combat against the enemies that you've been fighting for the entirety of the BO7 Campaign. There is no PvP combat as far as we know, so you won't be able to attack the other real players that are participating in the Endgame mission with you.

The entire Endgame takes place on the Avalon map, which is featured prevalently throughout the Campaign. On Avalon, you'll have to survive waves of enemies using the weapons and abilities you've unlocked previously during the various Campaign missions. However, Avalon also provides ways to acquire new weapons and abilities that you can use to fend off the non-stop onslaught of enemies.

You can think of the Endgame as a mix between DMZ from MWII and the Zombies mode from MWIII. You're in an open world with other players fighting against AI enemies that keep on coming.

As you play the Endgame mission, which can be replayed as many times as you want, you and the other players in the world will all be working towards one final objective. This final objective likely involves fighting an overwhelming number of enemies or a boss of sorts. If you manage to complete the final objective, you'll "extract" from the mode with all of the loot that you brought in and acquired throughout the course of the mission. However, if you die, you'll lose all of the items you looted for the next time you hop into an Endgame mission. This likely includes different weapons, abilities, and valuables. The Endgame can be replayed as many times as you want, and there are likely elements that can make each mission different from the last. This promotes replayability and makes you want to keep coming back, similar to how Zombies works.

We're not entirely sure how the looting system will work and how players will be extracted from the map if they manage to complete the final objective. We also don't know how the objectives will work during the course of a mission.

What we do know is that the Campaign in BO7 now features full progression for your account. This means your time spent playing the Campaign and the Endgame mission will allow you to gain XP, level up, and work towards your next Prestige. So, unlike in years past, playing the Campaign isn't a time sink for players who want to progress quickly in multiplayer or Zombies.

That's all we really know about the Campaign Endgame so far in Black Ops 7. Treyarch has remained fairly tight-lipped about the inner workings of the mode up to this point, so we'll have to wait for more details in the coming months.
