Packet Burst happens when there is something disrupting connectivity. Your ping might be spiking, the Call of Duty servers could have issues, or some settings might be causing the Packet Burst error to appear.

There are a number of causes that could be behind this, but just know that connectivity disruption is the umbrella of the problem. Essentially, there is something creating an error while you and the server are transferring data back and forth.

How to fix Packet Burst problems in Black Ops 6

Thankfully, there are a handful of fixes you can try to get rid of any Packet Burst problems in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. You may only need to do one, or you might need to employ multiple. Just keep trying them until you've solved the problem.

Here's what you can do:

  • Change On-Demand Texture Streaming to the Minimal setting
  • Ensure your internet connection is stable
    • Connect and play through an ethernet cable rather than wirelessly if possible
  • Check Call of Duty's website and social media accounts to see if they've mentioned any server issues
  • Disable cross-platform play if you're on console
  • Close any unnecessary applications and windows open in the background
  • Exit out of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and restart your computer
