For those waiting by their consoles, you’ll have a few more days to go. MW3 and Warzone’s Season 2 commences Wednesday, February 7 at 9 AM PT across all platforms.

This ultimately means Season 1 will reach its final days. Take it all in, the Call of Duty scene is about to change again, dramatically.

What’s in MW3’s Season 2 roadmap?

Even MWZ gets a bunch of new content. It seems developers have been cooking for quite a while.

Maps

Four new six on six maps are set to arrive in Season 2, according to a February 1 developer blog post. Players can look forward to Vista, Stash House, Departures, and the reinvigorated version of Das Haus.

Das Haus won’t arrive in the initial stages of Season 2. However, it will make its way into the map pool mid-way through the Season. The other maps will be available upon the Season 2 release.

Tetanus, Sporeyard, and Satan’s Quarry will have more maps alongside them in the variant map pool. Airborne and Skidgrow arrive mid-way through the Season, like Das Haus. Players can also look forward to Operation Tin Man, the newest War Mode map. Gamers get to scour through the towers of Urzikstan, planting explosives as they go down each level.

Game Modes

Gamers can gear up for five new game modes in MW3’s Second Season. Players can prepare themselves for the three new modes upon launch. These include:

  • Team Gun Game
  • Snipers Only
  • Hordepoint

If Hordepoint has piqued your interest, make sure you crack into it once it launches. It’ll be a limited-time mode, and leave MW3 when the developers see fit. For those wanting details on the mid-season game modes, you’ll receive:

  • Juggermosh
  • Bounty

Juggermosh will be a limited-time mode similar to Hordepoint. As for Bounty, we’ll get to enjoy that for an extended period of time, until developers choose to take it out.
