The Swordfish AI is back in Call of Duty, and here's how to unlock it in Season 2 Reloaded.

If you played Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 back in 2018, then you likely remember the Swordfish marksman rifle all too well. This four round-burst rifle dominated public matches for a brief spell, eliminating enemies in a single burst with very little recoil. Well, while it might not be as strong this time around, the Swordfish A1 is returning in Season 2 Reloaded of Black Ops 7 and Warzone.

To find out how you can unlock and start using the Swordfish A1, take a look at the guide below.

Unlocking the Swordfish A1 in Black Ops 7 and Warzone

Unlike some of the other weapons we’ve seen arrive with Season 2, the Swordfish A1 is coming with the Reloaded update, so it won’t be included on the Battle Pass. Instead, you can unlock the Swordfish through an in-game event, similar to how the Voyak KT-3 assault rifle will be unlocked.

Of course, the two weapons won’t be unlocked through the same event. The Swordfish A1 can be unlocked through the Counter Skies event in Black Ops 7 and Warzone, which will be released on March 17, five days after Season 2 Reloaded arrives on March 12. The Altitude Tactics event is coming before it, however.

When the Counter Skies event does go live, you can unlock the Swordfish A1 by completing the free tier of the event pass. There are nine total challenges in the free tier of the pass, so you’ll have to complete all nine before you unlock the new marksman rifle. You can purchase the premium version of the event pass with nine additional tiers of rewards as well, but you don’t have to purchase that to unlock the Swordfish.

There is also a store bundle with a Swordfish A1 blueprint in it, but we don’t know when that bundle will arrive or how much it will cost. Still, if you want direct access to the Swordfish A1, that’s the route you want to take.
