Make sure you get the most of your time in Black Ops 7.
Double XP is one of the most valuable resources in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. It allows you to soar through the ranks, unlock weapons and class items quicker, and eventually make your way through the different Prestiges. There are numerous ways to obtain individual Double XP Tokens, which give you extra XP for a certain amount of time.
However, regardless of how you acquire these Double XP Tokens, you'll still need to activate them manually. Below, you can see exactly how to use any Double XP that you earn in Black Ops 7.
How to use Double XP Tokens in Black Ops 7
Let's kick things off by answering a simple question: yes, your Double XP Tokens from previous games, like Black Ops 6 and Warzone, will be transferred over to Black Ops 7. Of course, you need to play on the same account, but if you have a load of tokens saved up, you'll see them in the new game. Moreover, any Double XP you obtain through events, such as the Monster Energy promotion, will also be applied to your token stash.
If you're a veteran of Call of Duty, you likely know where to go to activate your Double XP. However, if you're returning after a hiatus or you're a new player, check out the steps below to start using your Double XP Tokens:
- Launch Black Ops 7 and go to the main menu (where you can enter a match, click on the loadouts tab, etc.)
- From here, look at the bottom-right corner of the screen
- You'll see a small rectangular box with three different icons inside it
- Click the box and you'll see the Double XP menu appear
- You can see all of your individual Double XP Tokens, ranging from standard Double XP (green icon) to Double Weapon XP (blue icon) to Double Battle Pass XP (orange icon)
- To activate a Double XP Token, simply click on the one you want to use
- Double XP Tokens are separated into four categories: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour
- Once you select a Double XP Token to activate, you'll see a countdown timer appear
- The Double XP timer counts down in real time, so even when you're not in a match, the timer is still going
- This means you want to spend as much time as possible in a match so you can maximize your Double XP Token
- You can activate more than one Double XP Token at a time, but only do this if you know you'll be playing for the entire duration of the tokens' time

That's everything you need to know about Double XP and how to use your tokens in Black Ops 7. The most important aspect of Double XP to remember is that it counts down in real time, so you don't want to spend too much dilly-dallying in the loadouts menu or the firing range when a token is active.
