You can always pack-a-punch. The TAQ-V is a supercharged version of the TAQ-56.
The TAQ-V is a powerful battle rifle in MW2 and Warzone 2. It's a sister weapon to the TAQ-56 but hits harder. Here's how to best build a loadout for one of the strongest long-range weapons in the game.
The TAQ-V is almost identical to the TAQ-56 both in look and functionality. The biggest difference is that the TAQ-V hits harder. It's a bit slower but the damage buff is more than enough to make up for it.
How to unlock the TAQ-V in MW2
The TAQ-V is part of the Tactique Verte platform in MW2. Platforms are weapon unlock trees that all share sets of attachments. This means that the TAQ-V can use all of the attachments available to weapons before it in the tree.
It is the second weapon in the lower half of the Tactique Verte tree. You can unlock the TAQ-V by levelling up your TAQ-56 assault rifle.
Once you get your TAQ-56 to Level 11, you will gain access to the TAQ-V. You will still have to level it up a little bit to be able to unlock attachment slots but all of the attachments for the TAQ-56 will also be available on the TAQ-V.

Best TAQ-V loadout to use in Warzone 2
The TAQ-V is almost like a turret gun. What it lacks in mobility, it more than makes up for in ability to take out opponents at range and with efficiency.
- Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
- Barrel: 18" Precision-6 Barrel
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Magazine: 50-round Drum
- Optic: Aim Op-V4
Our loadout has the TAQ-V with a 50-round Drum Mag in order to give it the best chance of being able to take out a whole team, even if you miss your shots. The Commando Foregrip and ZLR Talon 5 muzzle both help give it a really stable recoil pattern.
The Aim Op-V4 optic gives the best visibility for mid-to-long-range gunfights, so there is no doubt about being able to see enemies clearly, even at range.
Best TAQ-V loadout to use in MW2
The TAQ-V is less impressive in MW2 multiplayer compared to Warzone 2. The TAQ-56 is far more favored. The heaviness of the V version makes it quite slow in a game that needs pace, especially on the smaller maps.
- Muzzle: Lockshot KT85
- Barrel: 18" Precision-6 Barrel
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Magazine: 50-round Drum
- Stock: TV XLine Pro
To try and add speed to the loadout, we've given it the TV XLine Pro stock, which is one of the quicker ones. We've also chopped off the silencer in favor of the Lockshot KT85 muzzle. It reduces weight and increases the speed once again.
The 50-round Drum remains just to be able to unleash as much damage as possible in one magazine's worth of ammunition.
