If you’re sniping in Warzone, why not used the tried and true HDR?

The Black Ops 7 integration in Call of Duty: Warzone has introduced over 30 new weapons to battle royale, and a majority of these weapons have now firmly cemented themselves in the meta. However, Warzone still offers the ability to equip legacy weapons, and these include options from Black Ops 6. While very few of the BO6 weapons are worth using, that doesn't apply to the HDR, which has arguably the best sniper loadout in Warzone.

Below, you can see the strongest loadout of attachments for the HDR in Warzone.

Best loadout for the HDR in Warzone

The HDR was hands down the best sniper during the BO6 lifespan in Warzone, but it was immediately replaced by the VS Recon at the start of Season 1, and now it's been further replaced by the new Hawker HX. While these two snipers are fantastic in their own right, the HDR still has some life in it with its tried and true one-shot-kill loadout.

Here's our recommended loadout for the HDR:

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Gain-Twist Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Lightweight Bipod
  • Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
  • Fire Mods: 108MM Overpressured

This loadout excels at the longest ranges in Warzone, as we've buffed up the bullet velocity to the maximum value for the HDR. You'll still have the best one-shot-kill potential for any sniper in Warzone, but the mobility of the HDR is drastically lower compared to the VS Recon and Hawker HX. Still, for pure firepower, you can't do better than this sniping loadout.

While the HDR is a fantastic sniper rifle, it's not the only viable option, so make sure to take a look at the best loadout for the new Hawker HX sniper in Warzone as well.
