Find out what you’re grinding towards in Ranked.

Ranked Play is the premier competitive mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 multiplayer, allowing every player to use the same mapset and ruleset as the professionals in the Call of Duty League. In this mode, you rank up as you win more and more matches, which unlocks various rewards for your account. However, you'll also progress through different individual ranks, with the higher ranks reserved for the best of the best.

These ranks have unique names and icons in Ranked Play, and you can see what they are and how to earn them in the guide below.

Black Ops 7 Ranked Play icons & how to earn them

In total, there are eight ranks in Black Ops 7 Ranked Play. To earn an initial rank, you need to win three placement matches in the mode, and then you'll be placed into whatever rank the system believes you deserve based off your performances. From there, you can progress to a higher rank by winning matches and performing well.

So while there are eight total ranks, you might not even have to go through a few of them if you place high enough after your placement matches. Nevertheless, here are the eight Ranked Play icons you can earn in Black Ops 7:

To progress to one of these ranks after your placement matches, you'll have to earn SR by winning matches. SR is the type of XP you earn after playing a match, and if you win a game in Ranked Play, you'll earn a certain amount of SR that's determined by your individual and your team's performance in the match.

Below, you can see the SR requirements for every rank and the name for every rank in Ranked Play so you know exactly what you're working towards:
