Check out our Apex Weapons Tier List for season 24 – where does your favourite weapon rank?

Apex Legends Season 24 is in full swing. We've had a big overhaul thanks to a mid-season patch, following the sweeping changes to the weapon meta at the start of the season. Every single weapon was buffed, resulting in a re-shift of the entire weapon scene and as a result our Apex weapon tier list too.

That means it can be tough to know which weapons are good and which are not. We've ranked all the weapons in Apex Legends from S Tier to D Tier.

Here's our complete Apex Weapon Tier list for Season 24.

S Tier - Apex Weapon Tier List

Tier
Weapon

S-TierKraberSniper
(Care Package weapon)
S-TierPeacekeeperShotgun (Care Package weapon)
S-TierP2020Pistol
S-TierHavocAssault Rifle (Care Package weapon)

Kraber

The Kraber only appears in care packages, and is one of the most sought after weapons in Apex. It was nerfed a while back, meaning it was not a guaranteed headshot kill if the target has a strong helmet. However, this was reversed in Season 24 and Helmets were also removed. The Apex Sniper Kraber has never not been top of the Apex Weapon Tier List and although a rare find, grab it when you can.

The Kraber is very powerful but only in the right hands. It has a slow fire rate and a small number of rounds. Every shot counts.

  • Head: 210
  • Body: 150
  • Leg: 120

Peacekeeper

The Peacekeeper has been a strong weapon since Apex released. However, it has never been stronger now it is in the Care Package. This weapon is an absolute BEAST at close range, and can make short work of your enemies. It also has decent range, thanks to the choke hop-up too. Do not leave this weapon sat in the Care Package!

  • Head: 15x9
  • Body: 12x9
  • Leg: 12x9

P2020

The P2020's have long been the joke weapon of the game. What changed that was the introduction of Akimbo mode in Season 22. Since the weapon changes in Season 24, Akimbo P2020's have been deadly. They can deal a huge amount of damage in a short amount of time. In addition, with strong hip-fire they are easy to use and good at close and medium range.

  • Head: 31
  • Body: 25
  • Leg: 23

Havoc

The Havoc is a really powerful weapon and still sits in the S Tier of our Apex weapon tier list thanks to being a super strong Care Package weapon. It has really strong DPS, great close range hip-fire and a good magazine size. It even has the beam shot for those longer range engagements.

  • Head: 27
  • Body: 21
  • Leg: 16

Bocek Bow

The Bocek Bow is a hard weapon to use. The method of holding back the arrow then releasing can feel unnatural to Apex players. It does some really strong damage, but it has limited arrows. We have the Bow in the A Tier of our Apex Weapon tier list simply because of how hard it can be to use for most players.

  • Head: 120 (fully drawn)
  • Body: 75
  • Leg: 68

G7 Scout

The G7 Scout is another weapon that is a lot more powerful in Season 24 than before the rebalancing. The Scout is a high skill high reward weapon. Single fire weapons are harder to aim, especially when shooting at a moving target. However, if you can land shots with this weapon, the damage can stack up in no time at all. Just be aware that the Scout has very weak hip fire, so always pair it with a strong close quarters secondary.

  • Head: 58
  • Body: 36
  • Leg: 27

R99 SMG

Back out of the Care Package the R99 SMG can do major damage at close range. The recoil can have a bit of a kick so make sure you're comfortable handing it. If you miss with this weapon, the high fire rate can mean you lose an entire-mag in a split second.

  • Head: 17
  • Body: 13
  • Leg: 10

Volt SMG

Changes to SMG's have made the Volt a better weapon, especially with Energy Ammo being more popular than it used to be. This makes finding ammo later on in the gamer a lot easier then a few seasons ago. Of all the SMG's, the Volt is also the best at a medium distance. It's not as good as it used to be when it could take a Barrel Stabiliser, but it still stands up as a decent option in a pinch. This makes it more flexible than its competitors in the SMG category.

  • Head: 20
  • Body: 16
  • Leg: 12

EVA-8

The EVA-8 is by far the most forgiving of all the Shotguns in Apex Legends at the moment. It is almost better when used in hipfire, making it easier to bob and weave as you land shots. The fast fire rate lets you deal huge amounts of damage, and if you do miss a pump, you can quickly get back to dealing damage and recover.

  • Body, Head, Legs: 8x8

Rampage

The Rampage is one of the weapons that was transformed by the Season 24 changes. It leaped from D Tier to A Tier in our Apex weapon tier list. Previously a slow, clunky weapon, the DPS improvement comes from a change in helmets. The 36 headshot damage this weapon now has makes it lethal. Landing one or two headshots in a mag can turn a fight around.

  • Head: 36
  • Body: 29
  • Leg: 25

Nemesis AR

The Nemesis AR was an S Tier weapon in Apex Legends, but changes to it including losing the Accelerator Hop-Up has dropped it down a little. This is a bit of a marmite weapon, with some Apex players loving its unique burst mechanic and others hating it. What everyone does agree on is that when used effectively this weapon can absolutely shred!

  • Head: 22
  • Body: 17 (per burst shot)
  • Leg: 13

Mastiff

The Mastiff, like the Nemesis, is also a weapon that has been nerfed having been amongst the most dominant. It can deal big damage in close quarters, but isn't quite the jack of all trades it was a few seasons ago. However, it still makes a very strong choice, especially for players using Legends like Gibraltar and Rampart.

  • Body, Head, Legs: 16x6

30-30 Repeater

The 30-30 Repeater is another weapon with a unique mechanic, and using it forces you to decide between powering up your shots or firing a bit faster. Like the G7 Scout, landing Repeater shots does big damage. However, this weapon is incredibly weak at close range so needs to be paired with an SMG or Shotgun.

  • Head: 69-104
  • Body: 43-65
  • Leg: 37-55

VK-47 Flatline

We've previously had the Flatline as high as S Tier in our Apex Weapon Tier List. These days, the weapon just isn't as much of a stand out as it was before. That isn't because the Flatline is dramatically worse than it used to be. Instead, it has fallen back because a lot of alternative options (like the Nemesis and Havoc) are a lot stronger than they used to be. This is a very trusty choice and still a great weapon in Apex.

  • Head: 25
  • Body: 19
  • Leg: 14

CAR SMG

The CAR SMG is back amongst the stronger close range weapons thanks to being able to take the Laser Sight and having increased Magazine capacity this season. It's a bit easier to use at longer ranges than the R99 and shoots faster than the Volt. However, the trade off for this is it doesn't quite feel specialised and is a good jack of all trades choice if you want an SMG.

  • Head: 18
  • Body: 14
  • Leg: 11

Triple Take

The Triple Take is a little bit of a unusual weapon. It can do solid damage, and since the reversion of it's ammo consumption it is incredibly ammo efficient. It's not quite as strong as a 30-30, but for the ability to swap to a Nemesis late game it shouldn't be overlooked.

  • Head: 35x3
  • Body: 22z3
  • Leg: 20x3

L-Star LMG

What can make the L-Star LMG particularly powerful is the ability to avoid reloads. If you don't 'overheat' the weapon, you can in theory never reload the entire game. A short break from firing is all you need to avoid a long animation.

  • Head: 24
  • Body: 19
  • Leg: 16

Charge Rifle

The Charge Rifle's Season 18 rework made it impossibly hard to use, resulting in it becoming one of the worst weapons in the game. However, this was adjusted earlier this year. The Charge Rifle was given the Select Fire Hop-Up, giving it an automatic mode. That has revamped the Charge Rifle to a niche, yet powerful option. Obviously, using Snipers in Apex Legends isn't for everyone and doesn't suit a super aggressive playstyle.

  • Head: 135-198 (101-149 with Select Fire)
  • Body: 75-110 (56-83 with Select Fire)
  • Leg: 53-77 (39-58 with Select Fire)

Hemlok Burst AR

The Hemlock got a buff in a recent hotfix, increasing it's headshot damage and the magazine size it has. This has helped push the Burst AR up into the B Tier. The Burst effect can land some big damage in no time at all. In addition, you have the option to swap to Single Fire mode which is a great way to poke and prod at distance.

  • Head: 28
  • Body: 20
  • Leg: 15

C-TierProwler PDWSMG
C-TierR-301 CarbineAssault Rifle

Wingman

The Wingman, one of the games most iconic weapons, simply doesn't feel as relevant as it used to be. There are a lot of better options to use. That isn't because the Wingman can't do big damage, it absolutely can. Instead it is because of the very high skill ceiling. Simpler weapons to use well are just better options.

  • Head: 72
  • Body: 48
  • Leg: 43

Mozambique

Every Apex Legends player will remember when Akimbo Mozambique's were at the top of the Apex weapon tier list. There was a lot of delight when they were nerfed after dominating the game. Now, they sit as a pretty average option compared to the Mastiff and EVA-8.

  • Head: 21x3
  • Body: 17x3
  • Leg: 17x3

Alternator

The Alternator was born to sit in the C Tier. It's a solid, simple to use SMG that is a great thing to land on. You don't need a attachments to make this weapon work. However, its slow fire rate simply means it is outclassed as the game goes on so isn't viable besides for those off-drop engagements.

  • Head: 23
  • Body: 18
  • Leg: 14

Prowler PDW

The Prowler is another weapon that has previously been dominant but simply isn't a standout option right now. Other SMG's are easier to use and deal better damage, with Shotguns being even better in the closest quarters.

  • Head: 20
  • Body: 16
  • Leg: 13

R-301 Carbine

The trusty R-301. Its true strength is with how easy to use and consistent this weapon is. Sure, lots of other AR's are better but they are all harder to use. This weapon is great for beginner players or those who simply just want to not have to focus too much on specific mechanics or recoil control.

  • Head: 18
  • Body: 14
  • Leg: 11

D-TierRE-45Pistol

Devotion

The Devotion is a weapon that feels awesome to use. Whirring it up and shredding your enemies down is super satisfying. However, objectively, this weapon is so hard to use and the risk/reward just isn't there.

  • Head: 20
  • Body: 16
  • Leg: 14

M600 Spitfire

The same applies to the Spitfire as well. It's a decent weapon, but it chugs along and is outperformed by the L-Star and Rampage in the LMG class, and then that entire class is outperformed by AR's! The large magazine capacity is very forgiving though, so this weapon isn't too bad for beginner players.

  • Head: 26
  • Body: 21
  • Leg: 18

Sentinel

The bolt-loaded Sentinel requires a player with good aim. If that sounds like you, this weapon can be deadly. It's a strong weapon that can eliminate teams from afar in the right hands. Charging your sentinel with a shield cell makes the weapon very powerful, but this is only for limited shots.

  • Head: 126 (141 when charged)
  • Body: 70 (88 when charged)
  • Leg: 49 (62 when charged)

Longbow DMR

This consistent Apex sniper has a high fire rate and does good damage. However, Snipers simply aren't that good in Apex Legends - especially compared to Marksman weapons. If you love snipers, the Longbow DMR is solid but we'd suggest you use other weapons. That is why it joins the Sentinel in the D-Tier of our Apex weapon tier list.

  • Head: 108
  • Body: 60
  • Leg: 42

RE-45

The RE-45 has been totally left behind by the Akimbo P2020 option. You now don't really ever need to use this weapon, and it slipped back to D-Tier in the Apex Weapon Tier List since Season 22. It can still be sturdy off drop, but finding two P2020's isn't hard.

  • Head: 18
  • Body: 14
  • Leg: 11
