S Tier - Apex Weapon Tier List

Kraber

The Kraber only appears in care packages, and is one of the most sought after weapons in Apex. It was nerfed a while back, meaning it was not a guaranteed headshot kill if the target has a strong helmet. However, it is still a very strong weapon. The Apex Sniper Kraber has never not been top of the Apex Weapon Tier List and although a rare find, grab it when you can.

The Kraber is very powerful but only in the right hands. It has a slow fire rate and a small number of rounds. Every shot counts.

Damage:

  • Head: 280
  • Body: 140
  • Legs: 112

Devotion

The Devotion has been a beastly addition to the Apex Care Package rotation. Entering in Season 21, it introduced a new reverse hip-fire spread. This, when combined with the Devotions high fire rate, makes it a worthy inclusion in S-Tier of our Apex Legends Weapon Tier List.

However, Respawn weren't done there. In Season 22, the Devotion got another buff alongside the rest of the LMG class. The Devotion comes equipped with the new Gun Shield Hop-up, which provides an extra 40HP when aiming down sights. Pick up this weapon!

Damage:

  • Head: 23
  • Body: 16
  • Legs: 13

R99 SMG

The R99 is the latest addition to the Apex Care Package. It was previously an underwhelming weapon, but got a huge series of buffs this season. Here is what changed:

  • ADS strafe speed increased
  • Improved recoil
  • New Feature: Damage fall-off
    • Damage increased to 14 at close range
    • Damage falls off to 10 at 11+ meters
  • No movement penalty when equipped

As well as the damage buff that any Package weapon gets, the no movement penalty buff is perhaps the most exciting. Just like Mad Maggie with a Shotgun, you move at a sprint speed with this weapon out. That is incredibly useful in fights.

Damage:

  • Head: 18
  • Body: 14
  • Legs: 11

Nemesis AR

The Nemesis AR has become infamous in Apex Legends since its introduction. It has been toned down since it's release, with some tweaks to recoil and damage. However, it is still crazy strong.

What makes the Nemesis so deadly is the way that its fire-rate ramps up as you shoot it. That means it's DPS (damage per second) hugely ramps up as you use the weapon. At maximum fire rate the Nemesis kills you before you even realise what has happened.

Damage:

  • Head: 28
  • Body: 16
  • Legs: 12

Prowler PDW

The Prowler is a very strong weapon, with a full five shot burst landing 75 damage to the body. That puts it on par with any strong Shotgun in the game. However, at range or even against a moving target it can be difficult to land an entire burst. Despite that, the Prowler is well worth using in Apex Season 22.

Damage:

  • Head: 18
  • Body: 15
  • Legs: 12

VK-47 Flatline

This beloved heavy weapon has an incredible fire rate. It has been a very popular weapon across the games lifespan. Even when the Flatline took a hip fire nerf back in Season 16 its dominance has remained unchallenged. The Flatline does have some of the more challenging recoil in the game, but once you learn the pattern the Flatline is a top tier weapon. It drops down to A-Tier in this seasons Apex Legends Weapon Tier list after a slight reduction in magazine capacity.

Damage:

  • Head: 32
  • Body: 18
  • Legs: 14

Bocek Bow

The Bocek Bow is a hard weapon to use. The method of holding back the arrow then releasing can feel unnatural to Apex players. It does some really strong damage, but it has limited arrows. We have the Bow in the A Tier of our Apex Weapon tier list simply because of how hard it can be to use for most players.

Damage:

  • Head: 122
  • Body: 70
  • Legs: 63

Peacekeeper

The Peacekeeper has been a strong weapon since Apex released. However, the new Blast Pattern should help make it more powerful and consistent. You can't access the Disruptor Rounds anymore, which will be missed by Shotgun lovers.

Damage:

  • Head: 121 (11 per pellet)
  • Body: 99 (9 per pellet)
  • Legs: 77 (7 per pellet)

Volt SMG

The Volt SMG has risen to one of the better choices for an SMG thanks the R99 being in the package, and nerfs to weapons like the Havoc. The Volt does impressive damage and can somewhat hold its own at longer distances. It has been impacted by the general SMG nerfs over time, but is still a great pick up off the ground this season.

Damage:

  • Head: 19
  • Body: 15
  • Legs: 12

Wingman

The Wingman remains in the A Tier of our Apex Legends weapon tier list. This iconic weapon has long been a staple of Apex Legends clips, highlights and montages. While it is not in the Care Package anymore, it is still very powerful - with an excellent strafe speed and high damage potential.

Damage:

  • Head: 63-85
  • Body: 45
  • Legs: 41

Havoc

The Havoc with a Turbocharger is still one of the best weapons in the game. However, this weapon has taken a few nerfs in a row after becoming the single most popular weapon in the game. The magazine reductions in the Season 21 Mid Season patch have been followed up by a hipfire nerf this season. You probably can't use the Havoc as a secondary this season.

Damage:

  • Head: 32
  • Body: 18
  • Legs: 15

R-301 Carbine

First up in the B-Tier of our Apex Weapon Tier List is the R-301 Carbine. The R-301 is one of the most consistent weapons in the game. However, it struggled after a damage nerf over the last couple of seasons. Thankfully, buffs to its magazine capacity have helped restore the R-301 back to its rightful place as 'ol reliable in Apex Legends.

30-30 Repeater

The 30-30 had a miraculous rise through the Apex Legends Weapon tiers over the last year or so. It now has settled as a solid B-Tier choice, with high damage potential at long range. It has pretty weak hipfire, and you will need a good secondary and a strong sense of when to swap weapons if you want to run the 30-30 Repeater in Apex Season 22.

Hemlok Burst AR

Since the Hemlock returned to the ground last season it has absolutely dominated. As a result, it has taken a few nerfs including damage over the last few seasons.

However, the Hemlock is still an incredibly powerful weapon. What keeps the Hemlock outside of S-Tier is it's hipfire and controllability. It's hipfire is much better some previous incarnations but it still lacks in certain situations. The burst nature of this rifle can be hard to use, but once you master it this really is a killer weapon.

CAR SMG

The CAR SMG has long been a powerful weapon since it arrived into Apex Legends. The ability to take light and heavy ammo, as well either magazine is a huge bonus.

We have done a more detailed breakdown of the CAR SMG so be sure to check it out.

L-Star LMG

The L-Star got a buff this season. It now has the same reverse hipfire spread as the Devotion, as well as the ability to get the new Shield Generator Hop-up.

What can make the L-Star LMG particularly powerful is the ability to avoid reloads. If you don't 'overheat' the weapon, you can in theory never reload the entire game. A short break from firing is all you need to avoid a long animation.

M600 Spitfire

The Spitfire has taken the same buffs as the L-Star, with improved hipfire and the new Gun Shield. That Gun Shield addresses the slightly slower fire-rate that holds the weapon back. Now, you have a bit more time to land your shots and deal some serious damage.

Mastiff

The Mastiff has felt very underwhelming in recent seasons with the strength of SMGs. This season it has had its bullet spread pattern adjusted, which has made it feel significantly more powerful.

The Mastiff really excels with a nice balance of fire rate versus damage when compared to the Peacekeeper and EVA-8.

Sentinel

The bolt-loaded Sentinel requires a player with good aim. If that sounds like you, this weapon can be deadly. It's a strong weapon that can eliminate teams from afar in the right hands. Charging your sentinel with a shield cell makes the weapon very powerful, but this is only for limited shots.

Triple Take

The Triple Take is a little bit of a unusual weapon. It can do solid damage, and since the reversion of it's ammo consumption it is incredibly ammo efficient. It's not quite as strong as a 30-30, but for the ability to swap to a Nemesis late game it shouldn't be overlooked.

G7 Scout

The G7 Scout is a solid weapon in Season 22.. However, it is still outshone by the strength of the 30-30 Repeater. The Scout is a high skill high reward weapon. Single fire weapons are harder to aim, especially when shooting at a moving target. However, if you can land shots with this weapon, the damage can stack up in no time at all. Just be aware that the Scout has very weak hipfire, so always pair it with a strong close quarters secondary.

Alternator

The Alternator suffers this season thanks to the removal of Disruptors.

The advantage of the Alternator is its large magazine size in comparison to other SMGs. Off drop the Alternator is very sturdy but you really do need Disruptors to carry it into the mid and late games, now they are gone, this weapon isn't anywhere near as good.

EVA-8

The EVA-8 was a beast in the Care Package, but it is now back on the floor. It did not get its spread adjusted this season, so it falls behind the Mastiff and the Peacekeeper this season. It does have a very impressive fire rate, and the Boosted Loader is useful.

Mozambique

The Mozambique has been transformed this season with the introduction of Akimbo weapons. With Hammerpoints, if you can get used to how Akimbo feels, the Mozambique is really powerful this season.

Rampage

Like the other LMG's, the Rampage got a series of buffs this season. However, it just simply isn't as good as the other options of the L-Star or Spitfire. It's fire rate is slower, and you need to carry Thermites in order to really make the most of this weapon.

P2020

Historically, the P2020 was only a weapon for the start of the match. However, like the Mozambique, you can how use the P2020 in Akimbo. It can also take Hammerpoints, which make light work of unshielded enemies. When you are in Akimbo mode, the P2020 is automatic.

D-Tier - Apex Weapon Tier List

RE-45

The RE-45 has been totally left behind by the Akimbo P2020 option. You now don't really ever need to use this weapon, and it slips back to D-Tier in the Apex Weapon Tier List for Season 22. It can still be sturdy off drop, but finding two P2020's isn't hard.

Longbow DMR

This consistent Apex sniper has a high fire rate and does good damage. However, Snipers simply aren't that good in Apex Legends - especially compared to Marksman weapons. If you love snipers, the Longbow DMR is solid but we'd suggest you use other weapons.

Charge Rifle

The Charge Rifle has had a major rework in Season 18. It now sits in a fairly peculiar spot balance wise.

The new Charge Rifle hits major damage, especially at long distances. This makes it a very scary and deadly weapon to face. However, the 'charge' mechanism makes timing your shots really tricky. Getting the timing right when shooting enemies far away takes a lot of skill, and a fair bit of luck.

That makes it hard to slot the weapon into an Apex weapon tier list. Usability could honestly be a F Tier, but the damage makes it still a worthwhile choice.
