In 2025, we got an incredible lineup of Prestige skins. Here’s a tier list of all the Prestige skins released in League of Legends this year.
The League of Legends (LoL) Worlds 2025 pass is the final one of the year, and it’s the perfect time to rank all the Prestige skins released in 2025. With 11 skins launched this year, let’s review each one and explore what Riot could have done better.
Disclaimer: As an opinion piece, these are my thoughts and perspectives on the 2025 Prestige skin releases. Of course, feel free to have your own!
11. Prestige Triumphant General Darius
The first major theme of the season was Noxus, a region of warriors and leaders, known for their brutality, expansionist ambitions, and relentless pursuit of glory and new lands. This was the intention behind the Prestige Triumphant General Darius skin, but unfortunately, the skin’s message didn’t quite come through.
Even though the skin matched the season, Darius’s outfit didn’t fully work for me. The armor detailing on the shoulders looks mighty and commanding, befitting a true leader, but the ripped vest with gold accents didn’t quite fit the overall aesthetic.
In-game, the skin doesn’t feel as glorious as it could be. The shoulder details appear much more golden than the metallic, slightly rusty look shown in the splash art. Overall, the in-game colors don’t quite capture the impact of the splash art.
10. Prestige Spirit Blossom Springs Aphelios
It’s hard not to empathize with Aphelios mains, who have been waiting for a Prestige skin since the champion’s release, only to be met with disappointment. The Prestige Spirit Blossom Aphelios falls short on every front, failing to capture the champion’s essence, both aesthetically and in what players were hoping for. "It doesn’t feel like a Prestige skin at all, it’s just far too simple," some fans described it.
Being part of the Spirit Blossom universe, the aesthetic is slightly more beautiful than the Darius skin, but in terms of simplicity, they’re almost the same.
The in-game look faced heavy criticism: the hair appeared odd, the outfit design felt off, and the accessories didn’t quite match the skin’s intended vibe. Many fans labeled it a “fanservice attempt,” suggesting that Riot tried to create an easily sellable skin but ended up having the opposite effect. "Aphelios deserved better," some fans commented.
9. Prestige Battle Academia Qiyana
Unlike the beloved Spirit Blossom universe, reusing the Battle Academia look for Qiyana didn’t quite work. The splash art is somewhat cute, but Qiyana deserves much more in a Prestige skin. Compared to her Prestige True Damage skin, few players would likely consider buying this one. It adds nothing new to her iconic look. It just looks simple.
8. Prestige Mythmaker Cassiopeia
Prestige Mythmaker Cassiopeia feels more like one of those exclusive Chinese chroma-style skins that most of us will never get. I love the aesthetic, and Cassiopeia looks incredible, but the color palette is completely off.
The Mythmaker collection is known for its iconic red-and-white scheme, which makes this Prestige skin feel out of place. It honestly feels more like a chroma for a base Mythmaker Cassiopeia that should have existed. The in-game recall is very basic, giving little reason to pick this skin over more unique options like Coven or Spirit Blossom Cassiopeia.
7. Prestige Eternal Aspect Zoe
I might be alone in this opinion, but this skin doesn’t really add anything for me. It feels like the base Zoe with a few extra sparkles. Zoe is a champion with some of the best skin designs, but this one just feels off. She even ends up looking a bit like a Smurf. It is not awful, but it is also not good.
6. Prestige Spirit Blossom
Lux is my second most-played champion, but this skin didn’t really make me want to buy it. I love that she was included in the skin line, but her releases are starting to feel overwhelming compared to other champions, given the sheer number of skins she already has.
5. Prestige Masque of the Black Rose Katarina
Don’t get me wrong, I love Katarina in this skin line. After the Welcome to Noxus cinematic, I was even more drawn to her in this outfit. However, the skin itself isn’t as impactful as some of her other releases. While her look is iconic and the in-game details are beautiful, it’s not a skin you often see Katarina mains using. I enjoy the recall effects, but in my opinion, other skins this year were a bit better.
4. Prestige Spirit Blossom Zed
The Spirit Blossom skins will always be top-tier, but I’m starting to get a bit tired of seeing the same universe repeated over and over. It feels like a lot already, and I’d love to see more unique universes and aesthetics brought into the game. That said, this Zed skin is absolutely phenomenal. I love seeing him in this purple color scheme. It suits him incredibly well. The in-game animations are also very cool!
3. Prestige Visions of the Fallen Jarvan IV
This might be a controversial opinion, but this was one of the best battle pass skins of the year. Prestige Visions of the Fallen Jarvan IV isn’t just beautiful. Its details are absolutely outstanding. The gold, white, and red palette, the unique take on the “dark side,” and how perfectly it ties into the lore are breathtaking.
The spear with the eye and those ruby tones is phenomenal. I don’t even play jungle, but I would definitely choose this skin.
2. Prestige T1 Sylas
T1 has given us iconic skins over the years, but this Prestige T1 Sylas hits on a whole different level. The details are incredible: that almost feral edge to his design, the red-and-black tones that feel so distinctly T1, and the in-game animations are simply perfect. The details on the outfit are absolutely beautiful. I’m obsessed.
1. Prestige Winterblessed Mel
I know this is one of the more recent announcements, but I absolutely love the Prestige Winterblessed Mel skin, set to be released in 2025. It’s not just the splash art, which captures the winter aesthetic beautifully, but also the in-game animations and all the little details.
A lot of people have been criticizing it online, but honestly, I adore it. It fits Mel so well. We’re so used to seeing her in those Noxian reds and greys that this shift to cooler blue and purple tones feels incredibly refreshing. It is very cute and elegant.
And that wraps up the Prestige skins tier list for 2025. Stick around for more League of Legends news, guides, and updates on esports.gg.
