XDefiant Launch Week: Every teaser leading up to game’s release

The XDefiant Launch Week event is set to deliver a look at various aspects of the first-person shooter just prior to its release.

Ubisoft is ramping up the promotion for its Call of Duty competitor, XDefiant. From detailing each Faction to its All-Star Series, there has been plenty of content leading into its release. There's more to come, too, with the XDefiant Launch Week schedule.

The developers have shared a look at what we can expect on a handful of days before the game is live. Let's go over what each day brings.

There are six total events Ubisoft is dropping for XDefiant Launch week. There's a break between some days, but the day of release is packed with stuff.

Here's everything you can expect and the date it arrives:

  • May 16 - Launch trailer and pre-load of the game begins
  • May 17 - XDebrief Preseason episode provides game news, updates, and other details
  • May 20 - The XDefiant Battle Pass trailer releases
  • May 21 - A tips and tricks guide releases
  • May 21 - The All-Star Series finishes with its finals
  • May 21 - XDefiant launches and its Preseason is live

That's four days worth of XDefiant preparation for its Launch Week. The game, as it says, is finally arriving on May 21. After a slew of test periods, with the most recent in April, Ubisoft is ready to deliver its multiversal first-person shooter.

Everything to know about XDefiant's Preseason

As stated in the XDefiant Launch Week details, the game does not begin with a Season 1. Instead, it has a Preseason period. This lasts six weeks before the first official season begins, with a seasonal cadence of new content following.

Here's everything you need to know about the Preseason:

  • Begins on May 21 at 10 a.m. PT (Game Launch)
  • Contains content included in the previous Server Test Session
  • Dedsec Faction introduced, and is unlockable or purchasable
  • 14 maps and 5 Modes
  • No ranked mode at launch, but a practice ranked playlist exists
