We all knew XDefiant Season 1 was coming, but now we have a closer look at what to expect with a full reveal from Ubisoft.

After a successful Preseason period, Ubisoft has come out with a full reveal of XDefiant Season 1, including a look at the new GSK Faction, new weapons, and more.

Let's take a look at the reveal and break down everything of importance.

A look at the full reveal of XDefiant Season 1

XDefiant's full Season 1 reveal detailed the three maps coming. We already know them, with Clubhouse arriving first, followed on a monthly basis by Daytona and Rockefeller.

Next up was the Capture the Flag mode, which is stated to arrive in season. So, don't expect it or the surprise announced Bomb! mode right away at Season 1's launch. Unlike some games, it doesn't appear that you'll carry an actual flag. Just pick up the objective and run, with all of your movement and abilities still active.

After the dive into Capture the Flag, we got our first look at the new XDefiant Season 1 weapons. These are free tiers of the Battle Pass. One is the LVOA-C Assault Rifle, another is a secondary Sawed-off Shotgun, and lastly, the L115 Sniper Rifle.

Then came a look at the new mastery camos coming with XDefiant Season 1. Level up your weapons to obtain Titanium Violet, Titanium Azure, and Titanium Prisma. This will be earnable after the already available Bronze, Silver, and Gold mastery levels.

The big ticket item from the reveal, for most XDefiant players, is the new information regarding Ranked. It is coming a week after the Season 1 launch.

Occupy, Domination, Zone Control, and Escort are the ranked modes. Some rules are changed, however, such as Occupy having predetermined zones and Domination allowing side swaps.

The ladder has seven ranks, which are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Ruby, Emerald, Diamond, and Legends. All ranks prior to Legends have 10 levels within them.

GSK arrives in XDefiant Season 1 from Rainbow Six Siege. Like every Faction in the game, they have one Ultra ability and two usable abilities to choose from. The XDefiant Season 1 full reveal gave us a look at the three abilities:

  • Flashshield (Ultra)
  • ADS
  • Shock Wire

The Flashshield is a typical riot shield, but has a frontal flashing ability. This, coupled with their ballistic helmet to eat up headshots, makes them quite the defensive unit.
