After expanding the game world to Rinascita, the developers from Kuro Games continue adding even more great elements to Wuthering Waves. In Version 2.4, we received a new city, where gladiator battles are a real thing. Sure, Rover can participate in them!

WuWa 2.5 doesn’t make too drastic moves, sure. We are still in the Version 2.x series, which started with the introduction of Rinascita. It is rather unlikely to even get a new region, as Septimont happened just recently.
Still, Kuro Games is pretty good at adding new great stories and fresh adventures, packed with unusual gameplay. Wuthering Waves 2.5 should bring something exciting!

Each version of Wuthering Waves comes with new Resonators. Usually, we get two 5-Star characters, like Lupa and Cartethyia in WuWa 2.4.
Some rare exceptions to this rule are possible. In Version 2.2, Wuthering Waves had only one new 5-Star Resonator, Cantarella — due to the 1st Anniversary preparations.
It feels like WuWa 2.5 can treat us to something special, as only one character was revealed via marketing drips.
Phrolova in Wuthering Waves
WuWa players know this girl even from early story acts. Phrolova was a companion of Scar, but her personality is much more than just a villain.
The ability to control Echoes is pretty useful, and it helps Phrolova be a DPS character.

Cantarella returns?
According to WuWa leaks, Version 2.5 has Cantarella as a rerun character in Resonator Convene Phase 2.
- Phase 1: Phrolova and Roccia are 5-star characters; Lumi, Taoqi, and Yuanwu are in the 4-star set.
- Phase 2: Cantarella and Brant are 5-star Resonator; you can try and receive Danjin, Mortefi, and Yangyang as 4-star drops.
Considering the versions’ lifespans, WuWa 2.5 starts at the end of July. The exact date and other official confirmation happen in the stream. Stay tuned!
