Wuthering Waves is getting an exciting update. Version 1.3 introduces an explorable region — Black Shores. There will be two new characters in WuWa 1.3, including 5 and 4-stars. Encore will have her companion story. Everything about this and more were revealed during Wuthering Waves 1.3 stream. All of the details are here, including the broadcast itself.

Wuthering Waves 1.3 Black Shore: Details
Like the previous updates, Version 1.3 adds exciting new content to Wuthering Waves.
WuWa 1.3 characters
Two new characters will join the game. Their banners will be active during Wuthering Waves 1.3.
- Shorekeeper: 5-star. Her element is Spector, and her weapon is Rectifier. Shorekeeper is a support character, able to give damage buffs to her teammates and protect those with little health. The girl can turn into a butterfly to fly across difficult location. This feature is helpful for exploration.
- Youhu: 4-star. Her element is Glacio. Youhu battles with Gauntlets. The character has a magic chest to pull various devices out of it. Depending on a device Youhu gets, her moveset changes, adapting to your current battle.
New WuWa weapons
New weapons have been added to Wuthering Waves 1.3.
- Stellar Symphony, a 5-star Rectifier. It’s a signature weapon for Shorekeeper.
- Deep Sky Blazer Weapon Series, a set 4-star WuWa weapons.
A new area in WuWa 1.3
The very stream title reveals the newest area in Wuthering Waves 1.3 — a remote island, Black Shores. It’s a place from where some WuWa characters come from. Also, Black Shores is a mysterious organization with the divine being Shorekeeper as its leader. Aalto, Encore, and Camellya are coming from the Black Shore island.
In Version 1.3, the Black Shores island is available for exploration. Unveiling its secrets has a meaning for the main story of Wuthering Waves, as your character will find here pieces of their lost memories.
New creatures in WuWa
Black Shores is place to meet new WuWa creatures.
- Hedgepuff and Lumiscale Construct are two new Phantoms that inhabit Black Shores. Players will meet them in battles.
- Fallacy of No Return is a powerful boss that patrols the gates between physical and digital realities.
A new story chapter
During the WuWa 1.3 livestream, we discovered something interesting about new chapters of the game’s story. There is information about the main campaign and a companion story.
To the Shore’s End is tightly connected to Black Shores. This story chapter will fully reveal its secrets to the players when Version 1.3 is released.
- Where Stars Slumber has been created to motivated WuWa players to explore the Black Shores island.
- Amidst the Stares is another event for the Black Shore area exploration. It is focused on taking photos.
- Small Wooly, Big Adventures is a companion story for Encore.
New events
The Black Shores broadcast revealed all of the events in Wuthering Waves 1.3. This one is about exploring the island, and specifically its hidden basement layers.
- Portal Puzzle is whirling around and traveling though magic portals. Players should solve these puzzles to get rewards.
