Not all brave warriors enter the battlefields of Wuthering Waves (WuWa) with sharp Swords and heavy Gauntlets. The harmony of a sweet melody also has an amazing power. It can inspire and heal teammates. A skilled musician can even turn these vibes into damaging attacks. That’s exactly the approach of the new WuWa character, Ciaccona. Ciaccona in Wuthering Waves: Drip marketing
The official confirmation of Ciaccona joining WuWa was shared via the game’s official social media account. The drip marketing for WuWa Ciaccona included her art poster, a quote, and a brief story around the new character.
“Off we go! May my poems light the way on your path ahead!”
The girl is a bard in Rinascita. Ciaccona travels across the WuWa region and sings her poems that are filled with romance, passion, free spirit, and sincere emotions. Her music strangely combines joy of living and sorrow for those who already left this world.
Who is WuWa Ciaccona?
WuWa players already met Ciaccona. The girl is an non-playable character (NPC) in some of the quests. In the story, she plays relatively the same role as in the battles.
Unilike WuWa Zani, this character wasn’t shown during the WuWa 2.0 campaign. Only some leaks hinted at the red hair of Ciaccona, her elf ears, and a musical instrument.

Considering the drip marketing description, it is pretty safe to assume that Ciaccona should have strong support abilities. Perhaps the girl can heal her teammates or boost their skills. Like other WuWa characters, Ciaccona should be able to attack and deal direct damage. It's likely that she does this with music as well.
The release date for Ciaccona in WuWa
Ciaccona joins WuWa with Version 2.3. The developers revealed her after Zani, so Ciaccona most likely has a banner in the second half of this update.
The exact release date is still unknown. Even the traditional method of calculating a version's lifespan doesn’t work this time, as WuWa 2.2 is going to be shorter. The developers promise an interesting collaboration coming to the game, however.
Ciaccona is not the first character in video games to battle with music. I-No is a witch in the fighting game Guilty Gear Strive, and she has a guitar to attack opponents with powerful accords. As a WuWa character, Ciaccona can be compared to Yinlin, another 5-star Resonator.
