Absterge and Pikaboo talk WoW AWC The War Within Cup 4 Finals
After winning the WoW AWC The War Within Cup 4 NA Finals, Carlos "Absterge" Correa and Jason "Pikaboo" Smith from The Move sat down with broadcast talent Gillian "Eiya" Long, Sid "Supatease" Compston, and Christian "Lythi" Oeser for a post-match interview.
While Absterge talked about the challenges leading up to the tournament, including travel issues, playing at a hotel, and dealing with illness, Pikaboo made a surprise appearance and called Oct. 20 the best day ever.
"This is the best day that could have ever happened. I was just running around my place screaming at the top of my lungs. I tried to pour a drink, and I literally spilled it over my countertop because my adrenaline levels were so high," Pikaboo said. "I think I must have been screaming for like a couple minutes straight. My mic kept cutting out. No one could hear me. Our call disconnected in the last game. I thought it was over."
Absterge explained the situation, revealing that The Move's Discord call actually disconnected. Despite a minute of silence, the team used in-game pings to communicate with each other. Pikaboo then talked about his own challenge of learning a new spec amid facing haters who told him to retire and quit the game.
"Everyone on the internet [was] telling me I'm the worst player in the entire world, I have no idea what's going on, I should quit playing the game, I need to retire. I'm getting backseated by everyone. It's unbelievable. It is crazy. It's been a brutal process as I sit in three-hour shuffle queues playing the game all day," Pikaboo said. "Everyone's just telling me I should just go back on Rogue and give up. But it worked out. I can't even believe it. My team is so good. These guys are so good."

The Move at The War Within WoW AWC Cup 4 NA
After duking it out against and sweeping F Tier 3-0 in Round 1 of WoW AWC Cup 4 NA, The Move players advanced to the quarterfinal against Welcome to the Jung. However, against the latter team, they fell 0-3 and dropped into the elimination bracket.
Yet the players didn't give in. Instead, they swept Power Toads 3-0 and F Tier 3-0 once more. This win streak continued against Mentally Damp until they climbed their way back to the top for a revenge match against Welcome to the Jung!
The first point went to The Move won in Nagrand Arena. Despite Drake from Welcome to the Jung's efforts, The Move's Connor "Wizk" Torrence played an aggressive Priest and Absterge on Paladin made full use of crowd control (CC).
The Move then earned another point in Ashamane's Fall. Despite Welcome to the Jung's early lead, they became aggressive around the five-minute mark. Joshua "Prev" Mill switched sides while Zhangbeihai went on the offensive to maintain the pressure. From that point on, The Move seized opportunities to target the enemy healer. That's when everything began to fall apart.
Next, the two teams traded wins before it came down to Game 6 in Hook Point. With a score of 3-2, The Move only had to win one more game. The Move players forced cooldowns and made use of their CC, and in just a bit over six minutes, they took down the enemy Druid to become the victors of WoW AWC Cup 4!
