The Agents and Luminosity Gaming became the WoW AWC Cup 1 champions! Here are results and current standings.
The Agents and Luminosity Gaming players are the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship (AWC) Cup 1 winners! Both teams duked it out against others in the Dragonflight Cup, climbing their way to the top as the victors. Read on for the WoW AWC Cup 1 details!

The Agents win WoW AWC Cup 1 EU against all odds
After defeating Bedge in the first round, The Agents fought Team Huhu in the quarterfinal and lost 2-3. This pushed them down to the elimination bracket where they battled MyWay before The Fiends. After The Agents defeated GGN Esports, they met up with Team Huhu again for the epic rematch.
The Agents bested Team Huhu in the Nagrand Arena, taking full advantage of the Elemental Shaman's Lightning Shield and Earth Shield for crowd control. This win streak continued into Tol'viron Arena as The Agents burst down the enemy with the aid of Earth Shock and Meteor. The team fought and won Hook Point followed by Maldraxxus Coliseum for the 4-0 sweep.
"We just played like usual," Asgarath said in the post-match interview. "I think coming into this Cup, we were more like aiming for top eight because it was not lookin so good for us, but we got some coaching from our business associates and we were able to pull it out the bag against all odds, so to speak."

Luminosity Gaming versus Liquid in Arena World Championship
The action didn't stop there as the WoW AWC Cup 1 NA action followed soon after. Luminosity Gaming defeated Hidden Gamers in the first round before sweeping Power Men in the quarterfinal. However, this win streak in the upper bracket was short-lived as Liquid swept Luminosity Gaming 3-0 in the semifinal. Forced into the elimination bracket, Luminosity Gaming had to duke it out against the Golden Guardians before climbing back to the top for a revenge match against Liquid.
While Luminosity Gaming earned points in the Nagrand Arena and the Dalaran Sewers, Liquid bested them in Ashamane's Fall. However, this didn't stop Luminosity Gaming as the players earned themselves another victory in Maldraxxus Coliseum. When it came down to the match point, Luminosity Gaming took Ruins of Lordaeron after peppering the enemy team with a bunch of crowd control.
With these victories, both Luminosity Gaming and The Agents are currently sitting on top of the leaderboard for their respective regions. The ultimate goal is to gain enough points for a place in the Season 1 WoW AWC Grand Finals.
The esports action will resume next weekend from Jan. 27 to Jan. 29 with WoW AWC Cup 2.
