Perplexed players win WoW MDI 2024 Group B crown
From Feb. 23 to 25, the second set of WoW MDI teams fought against each other for the best dungeon times. Perplexed players came out on top after they took down Bald Bandits 3-1. In the previous week, the WoW MDI Group Stage crown went to Echo players who swept Last Hope 3-0.
These victories advanced both teams to the 2024 WoW MDI Global Finals. Since Bald Bandits, Last Hope, Mandatory, Eclipse, Dawgs, and Legendary also did well in the top 16, they will compete in the upcoming tournament as well.

Here are the results for WoW MDI 2024 Group B. Perplexed started the first round by going 2-0 against Bone Buds Resurrected. This led them to facing Eclipse in the quarterfinal and going 2-1. After scoring 2-0 and pushing Bald Bandits into the elimination bracket, Perplexed faced the team once again in the final. With a score of 3-1, Perplexed players won the lion's share of the $30,000 prize pool.
In a post-match interview, DrWolfDisco noted how team synergy played a part in the victory. He acknowledged the addition of Xesevi, who had played with Team Liquid in the past as well.
"Well, Xesevi has been a very good friend of mine and basically everyone else in the team for a long time," DrWolfDisco said. "So it's, you know, it's just good vibes from the first day we started playing. So that's always nice and it's always good to get like a new perspective on things, in a way. Everyone has a different way [of viewing] things and strategies. So sometimes, it's just a good thing to switch it up."
That's all for WoW MDI Group B, but the WoW MDI Global Finals will kick off on March 8 next weekend! This tournament will feature the top eight teams and a prize pool of $200,000.
