You'll know you are close to start of VALORANT Season 2025 // Act 3 when the upcoming patch notes drop. The new patch notes will be made available on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 6 a.m. PT. That's the typical schedule.

That following evening, you'll see the servers go down for maintenance. It usually happens happens an hour or so before the new Act is set to begin, then when the servers are back up, you can dive right in. Check out the countdown above for the time.

What to expect with the new Act?
Unlike the start of Season 2025 // Act 2, VALORANT's upcoming third Act won't have a ton of new content. Waylay arrived on the scene, so there isn't a new Agent. And there's been no talk of a new map, new weapon, or anything of the sort.
Of course, there is still new content to enjoy, even if the patch isn't too massive:
- Potentially a new skin collection
- A new Battlepass to grind
- Full patch notes with all changes, bug fixes, nerfs/buffs, etc.
Prepare yourself for the downtime as VALORANT Season 2025 // Act 3 releases shortly after. Expect a soft rank rest, where you will need to play some placement matches again. And finish your Battlepass so you can start right away on the new one!
