Vyse is the newest Sentinel Agent in VALORANT, revealed near the tail end of VALORANT Champions 2024 in Seoul, South Korea.
The teasers and leaks have piled in for Vyse, the newest Agent to VALORANT. The Sentinel's official reveal is not during the Grand Final of Champions like Riot has done in the past, but instead was on the first day of the arena stage.
This new Agent has everyone talking, and we're going to take a look at what she's all about. From her design and abilities to the reveal and when you can play her, here's what we know about Vyse.
How to watch the official first look at the newest VALORANT Agent
If you want to see the first official reveal of VALORANT's latest Agent, named Vyse, you can check it out on the official VALORANT Twitch channel. On August 23, 2024 during the first day of the Champions 2024 arena stage, the Agent will be shown off.

Since the inclusion of the Abyss map, we've seen glimpses of who or what Vyse is. She broke out of containment there and further teasers have indicated she uses vines and thorns to entrap her enemies. That's all been confirmed now.

Vyse VALORANT Agent abilities
Vyes is labeled a metallic mastermind. Her powers come from the ability to manipulate liquid metal. As a Sentinel Agent, she uses these powers to isolate, trap, and disarm her enemies.
The following are the abilities she has in her arsenal:
- Arc Rose: EQUIP an Arc Rose. Target a surface and FIRE to place a stealthed Arc Rose, or ALT Fire to place the Arc Rose through it. REUSE to blind all players looking at it. This ability can be picked up to be REDEPLOYED.
- Shear: EQUIP filaments of liquid metal. FIRE to place a hidden wall trap. When an enemy crosses, an indestructible wall bursts from the ground behind them. The wall lasts for a brief time before dissipating.
- Razorvine: EQUIP a nest of liquid metal. FIRE to launch. Upon landing, the nest becomes invisible. When ACTIVATED, it sprawls out into a large razorvine nest which slows and damages all players who move through it.
- Steel Garden (Ultimate): EQUIP a bramble of liquid metal. FIRE to send the metal erupting from you as a torrent of metal thorns, JAMMING enemy primary weapons after a brief windup.
When does Vyse release in VALORANT?
With the reveal happening at VALORANT Champions 2024, we can look to shortly after that for when our new Agent, Vyse, arrives in-game. Episode 9 Act I ends on August 28 at 6 a.m. PT. This is the day after a patch goes out.
Which means when the new Act officially kicks off, you will see Vyse available in VALORANT to unlock. Then you can try her out for yourself as the latest Sentinel on the roster.
