Map 1: Bind
GIANTX refused to fall into the “underdog” narrative, opening the series with confidence against Team Liquid. From the first round, they showed they were motivated and ready to fight, but TL is no ordinary opponent. On one of their strongest maps, Liquid answered with crazy plays and relentless pressure, keeping the score neck-and-neck. In the end, it all came down to decision-making, closing out the map 13-10 for Team Liquid.
Map 2: Lotus
After dropping a close first map, GIANTX looked to bounce back, but Team Liquid came out to win. GIANTX answered strongly, as ara and Grubinho pulled off clutch plays to string together five straight rounds. Still, Liquid didn't even flinch. Once the sides switched, the second half was all blue, with TL asserting full control to close the map 13-9.
Map 3: Sunset
In the third map, the game was more balanced for both teams, but Team Liquid asserted its position in the second half, scoring four rounds in a row. This time, paTITek and keiko were the ones shining the most, clutching crazy rounds and not allowing GIANTX to progress in the match. Team Liquid ended up winning the VCT EMEA: Stage 2 trophy. nAts was the MVP of the split.
