Riot Games has announced they will be resetting ranks and competitive queue in the VALORANT console today. The announcement comes along with a scheduled maintenance alert for PC players. 

VALORANT Console Rank Resets

Riot Games has decided to reset all ranks in VALORANT console. The decision comes days after the open beta announcement of the the game. With an Open beta, there is an influx of new players into the game which makes it harder to ensure a level playing field for all concerned.

So if you suddenly lost your rank, it is not because of a VALORANT bug. It’s because Riot Games has decided to reset the VALORANT console ranks. 

All VALORANT console players will now start at the same level. Within a few days you can reach the same rank as you were previously, so it should not impact your gameplay experience too much.

VALORANT Console Open beta

VALORANT Console’s Open beta went live a few days ago. This means fans no longer require a code to gain access and anyone with a console and VALORANT can play the game. We have outlined the steps to access the VALORANT console Open beta here. 

The game itself is of a decent size - almost 34 GB in size. With further updates, the game’s file size might increase further. 


VALORANT released in 2020 and has quickly become one of the most popular FPS titles in the world. The game has grown in popularity and Riot is now gearing up for a console release. With VALORANT Console being in open Beta, anyone can access the game. 

Being in Open beta, VALORANT Console is bound to have multiple changes. There might be several changes to the game when it gears up closer to release.
