Team Liquid stopped Shopify Rebellion Gold’s attempt at a three-peat in the VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2025 Grand Final.
Shopify Rebellion Gold were one step away from completing their three-peat in the VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2025 grand final, but they stumbled. Team Liquid claimed the win in the GCC 2025 grand final and gave Brazil its first win in the international Game Changers stage.
Natália "daiki" Vilela claimed the Finals MVP award. The series went the distance and had everything from comebacks, close maps, and long win streaks. At the end, Team Liquid took down Shopify Rebellion Gold for the second time in this tournament.
Team Liquid daiki: FalleN wished me good luck
daiki revealed that Counter-Strike 2 legend and fellow Brazilian professional player Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and his wife sent her their best wishes for the event. "When I came to Korea to play this tournament, they wished me good luck."
The Brazilian roster of Team Liquid, save for Julia "Jelly" Iris, who joined this year, has been together since 2023. "The four of us, we were almost there several times. Being able to achieve this together - I don't even have the proper words to describe it," said Letícia "Joojina" Paiva.

"Everything that I did in 2024, I've been doing twice as hard, twice as better in 2025. But, I've grown so much with this squad, they've helped me adapt to my role, they've helped me adapt to the whole team," spoke Jelly when asked about her transfer from MIBR and development this year.
"When I joined [Team Liquid], they treated me like family - I think that was the main thing that made us win: how united we are. They helped grow so much as a player and as a person," she added.

FMVP daiki was incredibly proud to represent Brazil on the international stage. "I always say this: Brazil is full of talents. There's so much potential. The first time we had two teams from Brazil, [both of us] were in the top three [of GCC 2025.] I don't have anything but happiness for the girls."
SRG meL to Team Liquid: F*****g make Challengers.

"[daiki] played phenomenal in this series, she called amazing, played amazing, very deserving of the MVP award," meL commented. "I [told her], 'take this momentum and f*****g make it to Challengers.' I feel like they have reached that level. They can make that push, break that barrier. I'm really looking forward to seeing it."
Despite failing to complete the three-peat, the team looks back at their competitive year with pride and satisfaction. "Making Challengers was probably the happiest [day] of my year," Nicole "Noia" Tierce said.
SRG vs TL in GCC 2025 grand final
Map 1 was an even performance from both teams. Team Liquid found a slight lead in the first half, 7-5, but the game remained close until the end of the map. Thanks to three consecutive round wins, Shopify Rebellion Gold opened the series with a close win, 13-11.
The scorelines from each individual player were impressive, with all of them having identical KDA ratios.
The game moved to Pearl, and it further proved the balance between both finalists. Even if it was SRG's map pick this time, the game remained neck-and-neck. This was even closer than map 1, as the first half finished an even 6-6.
In the second half, TL were the first to hit map point, but SRG were hot on their tails; the game was 12-11. Mirroring the Karnthida "dodonut" Chaisrakeo multi-kill that won map 1, Letícia "joojina" Paiva had a 4k that secured map 2 and equalized the series.
SRG coach Loic "effys" Sauvageau said that, to him, he felt like the turning point was Pearl. "I feel like we had to close out Pearl and... we just didn't."
Finally, SRG found a substantial lead for the first time in this series in map 3. The half ended 9-3 in their favor, and it looked like SRG were going to be on match point. However, heroic plays from everyone in Team Liquid completely turned the game around. The defending champions were unable to find more than one round in the second half amidst TL's dominance. The Brazilian squad instead placed themselves in match point with the 13-11 win.
SRG again found a favorable first half on map 4, Sunset. The momentum of rounds swung between both teams - they went on multi-round streaks alike. However, Shopify Rebellion was determined to bring the series to map 5. After claiming Sunset 13-6, they were successful in doing so.
The series came to a head in Split, where the game went back to being even. No big leads, no massive round win streaks; just good VALORANT played by both sides. At the end, though, Team Liquid were the ones who came out on top.
