Tyson "TenZ" Ngo announced his departure from Sentinels on May 8. He is regarded as one of the best VALORANT players and retired in September 2024 after many years in the professional first-person shooter (FPS) scene. TenZ had been a part of the Sentinels organization since 2021.
TenZ leaves Sentinels
In a heartfelt post on X, TenZ reflected on his time with Sentinels, calling it "an amazing ride" with people he considers "true family." The Canadian player shared that while the announcement is "a little bittersweet," he is excited for the next chapter in his life. He thanked all of the Sentinels' fans for their support and encouraged them to keep cheering, even without him. "All good things must come to an end. Goodbye, Sen City; it's been fun!" TenZ wrote.
Tenz leaves behind a career featuring two major titles: the Masters Reykjavik in 2021 and the Masters Madrid in 2024, along with domestic titles and offseason tournaments. The player has been focusing on streaming VALORANT on Twitch, which means you can still follow him and see him play.
"Sentinels is the best North American organization you could be a part of," Tenz stated in a clip shared by the organization on X. The Canadian player went on to explain that he still has "the key to the office" and knows he will always be welcomed to revisit the staff and players. "We are a f****** family!" he said.
