Team Secret vs RRQ: RRQ secure the win in their first series

The VCT Pacific Stage 1 Group Stage is in full swing and Team Secret plays its second match of this League. They will go up against RRQ, who will play their first match of the League. Here’s all you need to know about Team Secret vs RRQ including the live score, format and teams.

The series started on Breeze where RRQ had a strong start. they won the first four rounds. While Team Secret did manage to break their momentum every now and then, Secret themselves could never score two rounds in a row on their defense. RRQ's offense was on point with a strong 9-3 start to the map.

With only three rounds to play with, Team Secret had their task cut out for them. There were valiant attempts by BORKUM and NDG, however, they did not have the room to play around with and lost the map 10-13.

The second map of Split was very one-sided as Team Secret seemed to be extremely comfortable on this map. It was through and through a Jremy and Jemkin show as both players crossed the 20-frag mark. However, with excellent team coordination and synergy, Team Secret emerged victorious to take the series to the third map.

The final map of Icebox saw both teams going head to head. Going to Overtime at 12-12, it was ultimately, RRQ that managed to secure the victory. With a win in their first match of the League, RRQ have ensured a strong start to their Stage 1 attempt.

Team Secret has already played its first match of the League. They went up against DRX, arguably one of the strongest teams in the Pacific League. Team Secret was not able to make a dent in the series, losing 0-2 to DRX on both maps and ending up with an 8-13 loss. 

Secret’s VALORANT roster has been together for quite some time, and they don’t have the same synergy issues as some of the other teams do. The team’s USP lies in its synergy and the players’ understanding of their teammates.

Meanwhile, RRQ finished the Kickoff League in the 7-9th place. The team, unfortunately, lost three matches to Gen.G, taking the Korean roster to the third map on all their maps.

This series will be an interesting one as Team Secret hopes to take their first win. Meanwhile, RRQ wants to start the League on a strong start and a victory here would mean a good headstart going into the next few weeks.
