Fourth map - Split goes into overtime

T1 esports came out guns blazing in the first two maps. Both maps saw the two teams go head to head with a relatively manageable score at the end of the first half. However, T1's synergy and their excellent read of the opponent's playstyle enabled them to get a secure foothold as the map went to the business end.

BuZz has joined T1 esports after multiple years on one of the top teams in the world. The player's understanding of the early game is what makes him standout compared to his peers.

GenG came back on Haven with Munchkin storming ahead with a 180+ ADR. T1 had no reply to GenG's offense and had to bow out meekly with a 5-13 score.

The fourth map saw GenG without any Sentinels and a composition that prioritized more active gameplay. It was a change in pace for the viewers, albeit a very exciting prospect. With Tejo in the map, Munchkin and co. had their task cut out for them.

The final map saw T1 take the victory. It was an aggressive playstyle that they adopted in the match that set the pace of the game. For GenG, they were unable to adapt in time, despite throwing a strong challenge themselves.

Match Preview

T1 esports has had a dominant run through the upper bracket of the VCT Pacific Kickoff. Going up against strong teams, including the likes of BOOM Esports, Paper Rex, and Talon. They met their match against DRX in the Upper Bracket final when they lost 1-2 and now face off against GenG in the lower bracket final.

The team added a few new players in October last year. With BuZz on the squad, the team seems to have found its groove with synergy and firepower all clicking together.

Meanwhile, GenG has been somewhat lacklustre. While they have improved tremendously from the earlier matches, the team still has a long way to go. They played their matches perfectly yesterday when they took down Talon 2-0.
