The last day of the Group Stage treats us to an amazing matchup! T1 and G2 battle again — and the North American roster sure is plotting their revenge.

Back in March 2025, these teams battled in the grand final of the Masters Bangkok 2025 event. Now, T1 and G2 have a match at VALORANT Champions 2025. Only one of them could advance to the Playoffs.

On one hand, the T1 players won that Bangkok clash versus G2 Esports. On the other hand, they could not qualify for Masters Toronto 2025, and this can’t help with their confidence.

G2 did not achieve a Masters win this year, sure. But that match was really close, 2:3. In Toronto, VALORANT G2 Esports reached the top 4. All combined makes these players dangerous opponents.

Everything about the match between G2 and T1 at VALORANT Champions 2025 is here!

Match recap

G2 looked more solid in this match: specifically with their combat. It felt like they played straightforward and extremely effective VALORANT.

On the other hand, the T1 players were very inconsistent. They dominated one round and fell apart in the next one. The Korean team let the opponents gain an early advantage in both games, tried to recover in the second half, and couldn’t complete their final push.

G2 won the decider match and advanced to the final bracket at VALORANT Champions 2025.

Map 1, Lotus

G2 started great on Lotus, survived an awakened phase of T1, and then sealed the deal with the final train of won rounds.

The first pistols round was quite remarkable. T1 earned a two-man advantage, planted Spike, but G2 Esports still won it.

T1 broke a series of G2s wins by a great combat in Round 5. But they also gifted the opponents with a free round 7 — after mismanaging their A rush and having no time to plant.

After the side swap, T1 almost tightened the score. That was possible thanks to great reads by the Korean players. They kind of felt what G2 were going to do, and followed that scenario — even though it did not always work.

On the side of G2, valyn was on fire!

T1 | iZu demonstrated amazing personal skills by denying retake by G2 in a 1v3 clutch.

At the end, G2 took the game under control. They repeated a risky time-management of T1 with A rush but did it better to win Round 20. A couple more great wins secured a point in the match score for G2.

Map 2, Corrode

For this game, G2 took exactly the same VALORANT Agents as for Lotus. It worked well once again for them, and even the general scenario was similar: a good beginning for G2, T1 woke up in the middle, and a powerful finish from the North American roster.

T1 had good chances even at the very beginning, though. Stax could win a 1v2 clutch attempt but made a bitter mistake. The Koreans dominated round 6 with their solid combat and round 10 with fresh defensive ideas.

G2 responded with somewhat straightforward but very effective rounds. trent delivered a statement 3K in Round 16.

When T1 won a few rounds in a row, they demonstrated a great fast-paced execution. G2 almost stopped that series on their eco buy, but stax denied the attempt in round 19.

Being so close to the win and revenge? G2 Esports did not lose this chance at VALORANT Champions 2025! They needed two rounds only, and they got them.

Beaten by Heretics. Pre-match overview

Up to this direct clash, T1 and G2 had wins and losses during the Group Stage at VALORANT Champions 2025. It’s pretty interesting that both lost to team Heretics, the VALORANT Champions at the Esports World Cup 2025.

G2 Esports faced Heretics in their opening match. Both games were close 10:13s, but only the match win really matters.

To not get eliminated, G2 defeated Dragon Ranger Gaming.

VALORANT T1 started the Champions 2025 event with a win: over Dragon Ranger Gaming. That is unlikely a proper challenge for the Bangkok Masters winners.

Then, the T1 players faced Heretics—and lost to them with a 2:0 despite a real chance to make it different.
