It’s time for a rejig of T1 VALORANT.

T1 will part ways with coach, Jacob "Daeda" Hale, who joined the organization earlier this year. Coach Daeda has been with T1 esports since February 2024 and has been instrumental in the team’s performance this year.

T1 part ways with Daeda

In a statement on Twitter, the former T1 coach admitted he knew his time with the org was limited. There were reports of the organization looking for local talent coming into 2025. So the announcement of his exit did not come as a massive surprise to the 26-year-old. In the same statement, he also admitted that the team’s performance was not as satisfactory and he tried the best with the limited time he had.

In 6 years, this has been my worst placing season, but I feel satisfied in my individual work given the role I was given.

I am extremely lucky and happy to have worked with the players I did, and to helped them to develop in ways I think will be beneficial for them in the future of their career and as individuals.

T1 has had a busy time recently with multiple hanges to their roster. They picked up former DRX member, Stax who has lots of experience with top tier VALORANT. A few weeks later, the team’s star player, Sayaplayer announced he is moving to an inactive role on the roster.

The team finished 7th in the VCT Pacific Regional League, essentially failing to qualify for Champs. The performance was much below expectations and changes were necessary. It will be interesting to see how the new T1 esports shapes up as we head into the OFF//SEASON.

What’s next for Daeda?

The former T1 coach is now looking for another team and he is ready to join a team in any capacity. His experience with T1 will definitely come in handy for the 26-year-old as he looks forward to the 2025 season.

With this change, T1’s VALORANT roster is as follows:

  •  Lee "Carpe" Jae-hyeok (이재혁)
  •  Kim "stax" Gu-taek (김구택)
  •  Ham "iZu" Woo-ju (함우주)
  •  Kevin "xccurate" Susanto
  •  Won "Wawa" Joon Choi (최원준) (Manager)
  •  Yoon "Autumn" Eu-ddeum (윤으뜸) (Head coach)
