VALORANT is set to deliver some pretty big changes to the B Site of Sunset, and some less impactful changes to Mid, in a future update.

We've all been waiting for the rather large VALORANT 9.08 patch to come. A new map rotation, Agent tweaks, and much more have been teased for this update. In a recent VALORANT Dev Updates video, they also touched on changes coming to Sunset, with the most significant hitting the B Site.

This will change how players defend, operate in the post-plant, and position themselves throughout the map. Let's take a look at these changes so you know what to expect when the patch goes through.

All Sunset changes coming in VALORANT 9.08

As we mentioned, the biggest changes are to the B Site of Sunset in VALORANT. There are massive tweaks to the entrance of B from the attacker side, the center pillar where most plants take place, as well as the back area towards the Boba call out.

A slight adjustment to the middle part of Sunset is on its way as well. We've got before and after images for the Sunset changes in VALORANT, so take a look.

  • B Site pillar receives a cubby indent and an extended box near the steps
  • Back of B Site sees a box moved from the wall, altered stairs, and a new ledge near those stairs
  • B Main receives a smaller doorway, removal of the post-plant box, and additional cover near the stairs

Mid

  • Mid receives a new decal on the center structure, a change in that structures size, and a removal of the plant box into a singular box away from a new straight wall

All of these adjustments are meant to balance the map across both sides of the Spike. Unbreakable Cypher Trapwires should no longer be an issue and post-plant scenarios should allow for more gunfights. It will, of course, take a while before we know if the VALORANT community is a fan of these Sunset changes.
