Shopify Rebellion, the two-time Game Changers champions, makes history by qualifying for VALORANT Challengers NA.
Shopify Rebellion are your two-time back-to-back Game Changers Champions. And that's not where their success stops. They may very well be on their way to the VCT if they keep winning, as Shopify Rebellion has now qualified for VALORANT Challengers NA.
For those unaware, that is on the path to the main Champions Tour. You get through Challengers, you get to Ascension. Win Ascension, and you're in your respective VCT international league. This is now a possibility after they dominated GC for years.
Shopify Rebellion heads to VALORANT Challengers NA
Questions were raised after SR lost their star duelist to VCT EMEA. Ava "florescent" Eugene was picked up by Apeks and made her VCT debut as the first GC player to make the jump. Luckily, SR snagged former FlyQuest standout Karnthida "dodonut" Chaisrakeo.
With the final piece of the puzzle in place, Shopify Rebellion began their journey through VALORANT Challengers qualifiers. They received a direct invite to the closed portion of the qualifier where they started with a win over Pigeons.
That was followed by the soon qualified Winthrop University defeating them 2:0. In the Lower Bracket, SR faced off against a familiar foe in FlyQuest Red. After taking them down 2:0, only one obstacle remained for their qualification.

With Winthrop University and Blue Otter, home to former GC star Bob "Bob" Tran, already qualified, one spot remained. In the Lower Final of the qualifier, Shopify Rebellion took on Funhavers to determine the final team headed to VALORANT Challengers NA.
Things looked rough to start as Funhavers reached four straight on map one, Fracture. Shopify shook it off and retaliated, however. They put up just enough on their attacking side and dominated as the defending team to take it.
From there, the series moved to Pearl. And that was all Shopify. They ended the first half of the second map with a 10:2 lead. Funhavers got the second half pistol to try and get back into it, but the lead was just too large.
In 2:0 fashion, the Shopify Rebellion squad bested Funhavers and cemented their place in VALORANT Challengers NA for 2025. The world champions of Game Changers have their eyes on even brighter lights, becoming the first full GC roster to make Challengers, so congratulations to them!
