Shopify Rebellion Gold take down Karmine Corp GC in GCC 2025

Shopify Rebellion Gold continues their rampage in the VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2025 as they take down Karmine Corp, 2-1. With this win, SRG punched their ticket into the upper bracket final and are now two matches away from completing the three-peat.

"They played well, but we also didn't really do our own thing. I think we all panicked collectively. They played well, they saw something they could abuse in-game and did it over and over," said SRG coach Loic "effys" Sauvageau about their one map dropped in this series. "I think teams before would have trouble finding gaps like that. Ultimately, I think we kinda defeated ourselves."

"Alkyia was killing us very quickly," Melanie "meL" Capone added.

Following Ava “florescent” Eugene's departure from the team, meL also shared a few words as to how the adjustment has been. "We just kept doing our own thing. It felt really easy to slot in Karn (Karnthida "dodonut" Chaisrakeo) — there was almost little to no issue. I wanna highlight Karn's flexibility; she can play so many different agents," meL added. "I think a lot of that is reliant on Karn more than the rest of the team. I couldn't ask for a better fifth."

"[dodonut] is a blessing to work with," said coach effys.

This loss also meant KC is making a trip to the lower bracket. Their first opponents are KRU Blaze, who have already played and won two lower bracket matches (vs. GIANTX and Nova Esports) since losing to Team Liquid.

For the upcoming matchup against KRU, Anastasiya "Glance" Anisimova said that "I know their players [well], especially dods (Caue Fernandes). The more we play on stage, the more confidence we get. I think tomorrow will be a better day for us." Glance added that while KRU is a powerhouse in the LATAM region, KC themselves have a plethora of experience in the EMEA region, so there "shouldn't be any surprises" in their match against KRU.

The two teams clashed on Abyss first - Karmine Corp's choice. This choice had little impact, as Shopify Rebellion Gold still dominated nonetheless. The first half was 8-4 in their favor, and KC was only able to find one more before SRG took the map. The final scoreline for Abyss was 13-5 for SRG.

KC had a good reset in between the maps. They opened the second map, Bind, with three straight round wins. SRG swiftly swung back with a 5-round win streak of their own. Karmine closed out the first half with a small lead, 7-5. This was widened after they won the first four rounds of the second half. Impressively, KC managed to push the series to the distance as they claimed Haven, 13-7.

Their momentum spilled over to Sunset as they once again won their bonus round. The defending champions were quick to answer, and the half was neck-and-neck soon after. They pulled ahead with a 7-5 half and began shutting out KC with their bonus win in the second half. Soon, SRG closed out the match, 13-6.
