The second match of Red Bull Home Ground NA Qualifier for 2024 is Sentinels vs. YFP Gaming. These two teams are set to battle it out, with the winner taking on the victor of Cloud9 vs. Moist x Shopify. This event will decide one team for the World Final later in the year.

We chatted with zekken prior to the tournament starting. With stand-ins and an uncertainty of SEN's future, they'll still look to make the Grand Final against YFP, who will absolutely want to make a name for themselves with an upset.

Read on for a summary of each map along with clips that highlight the action.

Map 1: Sunset

Zellsis started things off hot with a 3K pistol round. A Flawless round followed and saw another 3K from Zellsis. The 3K party continued, this time for jakee as he prevented SEN from converting their bonus. Chants came from the crowd for YFP as they tied it up early.

YFP continued their push to a first half lead, as penny sprayed down three in A Main. SEN pushed back with some good retakes, topped off by the first Ace of the day from Reduxx. That sent the crowd into a frenzy. This helped them reel it back in, as neither team held a lead before the side switch.

The second half pistol round went to SEN. The also took the next and showed some quickness on their attack side. YFP was just as quick on a retake to keep things close. A 4K from thief tied the map at eight. A better economy in the moment set them up for the lead. A solid post-plant hold on B by SEN ensured the lead didn't last long.

Back and forth the teams went until YFP began to pull ahead. A nice retake and a 4K by bdog brought YFP Gaming to map point against the 4th Place Champions team. Another nice retake went in their favor, and YFP are your map one winners.

Map 2: Lotus

A chaotic pistol round saw player after player drop, but eventually YFP took it. Penny set down three to keep YFP in the lead. Sentinels wasted no time in getting their own points on the board, but YFP responded immediately. The YFP train kept rolling and fiziq grabbed himself an Ace.

A timeout seemed to right the SEN ship here. They cut their deficit in half with some solid attacking rounds. Still, YFP would not let them close the gap. Their defense would simply not budge, as they maintained a good lead heading into the half.

The defensive-sidedness of this one continued to show. Sentinels shut down YFP's advances to get within two rounds quickly after halftime. A smooth round from johnqt converted the SEN bonus to make it 8:7. This was followed by a 2K Showstopper from zekken and that tied Lotus. soon enough, they were ahead.

After reaching double digits, a Flawless round brought SEN to 11. Leave it to the IGL johnqt to get another 3K and stop YFP from mounting a comeback. That got SEN to map point. They held it down to force a map three.

Map 3: Icebox

Icebox began with YFP taking the pistol round, having penny on the Reyna. He stepped up in the second round, too, but SEN snagged round three. The SEN Classic put in the work, in zekken's hands, to tie the map at two. YFP turned things around right away, though. They denied a johnqt Ace to stay ahead.

SEN tried to fight back with Ults from KAY/O, Killjoy, and Viper all in the same round. A retaliatory Lockdown from YFP pushed them off of A Site, however, and turned it in their favor. A huge 4K and clutch from jakee was the highlight of the first half. It ensured YFP a halftime lead.

SEN hoped to replicate their second half from map two. It started off well with the pistol victory. A 3K from Zellsis brought them within two. YFP took the SEN bonus, though, looking to reach the finish line. They'd get to double digits for a four round lead.

Three kills from bdog got YFP to 11 and it was not looking good for SEN City late in this one. SEN would get another one preventing series point for the time being. Another bdog play gave them that map and series point right after. Miraculously, though, SEN fought back and forced OT with some powerful attack rounds.

YFP had a good setup, but a quick retake overwhelmed them in the first round of overtime. It went to SEN, putting them just a round win away from making the Grand Final. YFP retaliated with a quick retake attempt of their own, but a 4K that ended with a Shorty kill closed the door and sent YFP packing.
