Sentinels and LOUD to represent Americas at Masters Madrid

We now have all eight teams to take part in VCT Masters Madrid 2024.

After a few days of intense action, we have our two finalists of the VCT Americas Kickoff 2024. Sentinels and LOUD will represent Americas in the VCT Masters Madrid that takes place later this month. They will next compete in tomorrow’s Grand Final where the winning team also receives VCT points.

LOUD and Sentinels qualify for Masters Madrid

The two teams had a relatively strong group stage performance. LOUD was in Group B and had to face Sentinels, Leviathan, and 100 Thieves. They went undefeated through the group stage earning their spot in the playoffs.

In the Playoffs, LOUD had to face off against Evil Geniuses. The winning team would secure Masters Madrid spot and this time, LOUD came out triumphant. Despite losing the opening map, they made a comeback on the remaining two maps to secure a 2-1 victory.

Meanwhile, Sentinels, whose only group stage loss came against LOUD had to compete in the Play-In stage. They faced off in a round-robin format against G2 esport and MIBR going 1-1 in the process. However, with a better round difference, Sentinels made it through to the playoffs.

Their sole playoff match has been against NRG, which they won on the third map. After a grueling series, Sentinels have now secured their Masters Madrid spot.

VCT Masters Madrid will take place later this month from March 14 to 24, 2024. The tournament has a $1.25 million prize pool and features some of the best teams in the world. Each region will send two teams to Masters Madrid and this includes two teams from China as well. You can find the full list of teams attending VCT Masters Madrid here.
