Team Liquid were winners of Red Bull Home Ground #2 back in November 2021, right before their VCT Champions run. They will be joined by 7 other teams, 2 of which earned their spot through regional qualifiers; FUT Esports and Team BIG.

At the event there will also be appearances from G2’s all female pro Valorant team – Gozen along with familiar VCT Champions tour faces such as Chrissy Costanza, Yinsu Collins and Mitchman. For those who cannot attend in person, the tournament will also be streamed online including on Twitch and YouTube.#

The event will be held inside the Victoria Warehouse.

How to buy Red Bull Homeground tickets?

Tickets for the event go live today, October 11th, with the home and away format of gaming being bought in across the three days of pro play. The three days are schedule as follows:

9th December: Best-of-three group stages begin; two teams immediately pass to the semi-finals, four will move on to the quarter-finals, and two will be eliminated.

10th December: Starting at 16:00 CEST, the quarter-finals will be played in a best-of-five format, eliminating two more teams.

11th December: Fans can watch as the four teams battling it out in the semi-finals from 13:00 CEST, with the losing teams from each match facing off in an immediate knockout. The final two teams will then battle it out in the finals for the Red Bull Home Ground 2022 trophy and the title.

Red Bull Home Ground history

As this is the third event of this nature by Red Bull, we have already had insight into what to expect. Last year’s Red Bull Home Ground saw Team Liquid with cNed as MVP claim the title, playing through the 'home' and 'away' match system in Bo3 and Bo5.

The event format works on the unique play of team’s choosing their best map and then playing them to progress onto the next stage; the pro teams face off against one another to make it to finals. There is also the ‘home’ and ‘away’ format which is carried throughout the tournament, wherein teams choose their ‘home’ maps for the opening two games.

Win both ‘home’ and ‘away’ matches and the team automatically advances – winning the tie that would take place. At finals the final two teams compete for a chance at the $100,000 prize pool, the trophy and the title.
