Riot Games has revealed further details about the upcoming EMEA VALORANT mixed-gender tournament.
After some months of waiting, we finally have more details on the upcoming Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) mixed-gender tournament. Let's dive into all we know about it.
Project Blender
Project Blender is an EMEA mixed-gender tournament organized by Riot Games. Out of 1,024 competitors in the open bracket, the top 16 will advance to Phase 2. As an open-for-all tournament, all players from the EMEA region can register for Project Blender. The only additional requirement is a ping of less than 80ms on the Paris and Frankfurt servers.
Blender Spotlight will start on Nov. 3 and 4 with a €10,000 ($11,698) winner-takes-all prize pool. The winner goes straight to Phase 3, while second and third place secure spots in Phase 2. The weekend final is happening in Paris on Dec. 13 and 14.
The tournament debuts two new formats: Blender Draft and Challengers Call. In Blender Draft, all agents used by a team in the previous map of a series are banned for that team in the next map. Meanwhile, Challengers Call lets squads that have qualified through Phase 1 or 2 select their opponent for the next phase.
