NRG vs LEV is a series many VALORANT fans are looking forward to. These are rosters believed to be powerhouses heading into the 2024 season. They've certainly shown it, but LEV has had some hiccups. We'll see if they can give NRG their first loss, or if NRG will stay winning.

NRG vs LEV - A game of momentum

NRG and Leviatán both fell short during the VCT Americas Kickoff tournament. That saw them take a backseat until Stage 1 began, but now they both look primed for a playoff appearance. Of course, NRG could disrupt LEV's chances here.

The so-called superteam has bested LOUD and FURIA thus far. The likes of C0M and aspas stand in their way for a third victory in a row, however. Momentum may be on their side, though the same thing could be said for LEV.

LEV lost a wildly close series against Cloud9 to start VCT Americas 2024 Stage 1. They immediately bounced back to decimate Sentinels in 2:0 fashion. That could be plenty of momentum for their side, and on paper, it feels like NRG vs LEV could go either way.

NRG vs LEV - VCT Americas Stage 1 recap

All eyes are on this one, and we've got you covered with a recap and clips galore to highlight the series.

Map 1: Sunset

In this match filled with former world champions in VALORANT, LEV got on the board first. They put up three before NRG got theirs. A Flawless massacre in Mid prevented any NRG momentum, keeping LEV well ahead.

The LEV train continued to roll, as IGL kiNgg was doing most of the fragging. A disrespectful knife followed by extracurricular activities ensured a lead at halftime. Well, it was a lead and then some. Leviatán's defense was a brick wall that only game up two rounds.

The second half was where NRG could have changed their fortune. That didn't happen, as an incredible clutch from Mazino prevented them from taking the pistol round. NRG countered them in the next round, however, as Demon1 connected some solid Sheriff shots to snag a third for his team.

NRG gained another, but LEV retaliated with a Flawless push onto B Site. That put them at map point, ready to close it out and move onto Bind. That's exactly what they did. An A Site hit saw the Spike go down, and the post-plant hold gave them the victory.

Map 2: Bind

LEV started in the same manner, with a defensive pistol round. Then again, they took three in a row with no answer from NRG. Follow that up with another Mazino clutch, and LEV was on its way to another dominant showing here.

The brick wall returned on Bind. Seven rounds in a row proved that NRG had no clue how to stop Leviatán. It kept going, too, with them hitting eight in a row, then nine. And guess what? LEV reached double digits from an aspas 3K before NRG even sniffed a round win.

It was a near-flawless first half for LEV. NRG only managed a round by delaying long enough for the Spike to detonate, despite all of their players falling. To kick off the second half, Wingman put the Spike down on A, but an NRG retake was successful for their second.

A 4K by Marved in a Flawless round put them at three, but it was a long way until a comeback could be possible. LEV got their buy round and it gave them series point. And that's all she wrote, as LEV utterly decimate NRG in two maps.
