The boys are back in town.

VALORANT in-game leaders Pujan "FNS" Mehta and controller Sam "s0m" Oh are reportedly set to rejoin NRG's lineup after a disappointing 9-10th placing in VCT 2024 Americas Stage 1.

To make room for the arrivals of FNS and s0m, NRG will demote former Evil Geniuses star Max "Demon1" Mazanov to substitute. All this information comes from a report by Sheep Esports' VALORANT reporter Alejandro "Anonimotum" Gomis on May 24.

Should NRG confirm these roster changes, it would mark FNS and s0m's return to the American organization less than a year after their departure in August 2023.

NRG started 2024 without FNS and s0m, but the team got worse without them

Even though NRG made a huge roster overhaul following the 9-12th placing at VALORANT Champions 2023, the team is seemingly worse. The organization only kept Austin "crashies" Roberts and Victor "Victor" Wong, and made headlines with the signings of Champions winners Max "Demon1" Mazanov and Ethan "Ethan" Arnold alongside superstar Jimmy "Marved" Nguyen.

Amid the slump, NRG is putting all its chips on the VALORANT core of FNS, s0m, crashies, and Victor. Together, they most notably finished as runner-ups at VCT Americas League in 2023, but FNS, Victor, and crashies were also a part of OpTic Gaming's dominant team in 2022.

Although FNS and s0m aren't cheap players by any means, NRG will save some money as s0m is a free agent and FNS is just a streamer under G2's banner.

When will FNS and s0m debut for NRG VALORANT?

FNS and s0m will likely debut under NRG's VALORANT banner at VCT Americas Stage 2, running from June 22 to July 21, unless the organization participates in a minor tournament.

They'll reportedly play alongside Victor, crashies, and Ethan, as Sheep Esports reported NRG benched Marved earlier this month.
