Since their debut in January, Ninetails players have impressed everyone with a remarkable streak that’s quickly put them on the map.
The VALORANT Game Changers regional qualifiers are well underway, and the race is on to determine the top 10 teams heading to the biggest event of the circuit, the Game Changers Championship in Seoul, South Korea.
Amid the fierce competition, a few teams are already turning heads with remarkable runs and compelling stories. Among them stands Ninetails GC, a squad whose meteoric rise and 21-match win streak have made them one of the most exciting teams to watch. Here’s how their story unfolds.
Meet Ninetails
The Korean organization was founded in January 2025 by the streamer Kim "972" Tae-il, who is now one of the coaches of the female squad. The Ninetails, also known as NTZ, entered the Game Changers circuit in the Korean tournament, in which they won every single match they played.
In the GC Korea Split 2, the team dominated their matches and qualified for the Game Changers Pacific, the highest achievement before the international stage. Despite their impressive performance in the Korean tournament, Ninetails knew that success in the Pacific region would be much more challenging, as the stakes were significantly higher. However, they were determined to showcase their exceptional talent.
On their journey to the top, they defeated formidable opponents, including Asterisk Women and FENNEL GC, and now find themselves one step away from the Grand Finals. To reach that stage, they must overcome Xipto Esports GC, a powerful roster that presents a tough challenge for Ninetails.
Nevertheless, Ninetails have shown remarkable resilience, stringing together an impressive 21-match winning streak, a feat rarely seen in the VALORANT scenario. If they win against Xipto Esports GC on Oct. 10, the Korean squad will be qualified for the Game Changers Championship, happening in their home country.
