In this elimination match, MIBR GC defeated Ninetails, keeping their GCC 2025 run alive and taking down the home competitors.

In the day’s opening elimination match, Ninetails couldn’t stop MIBR GC’s unstoppable momentum. Still, the overwhelming fan support highlighted the remarkable talent of these young players, proving that even a newly formed team can leave a lasting impression.

MIBR GC swept Ninetails 2-0 in their elimination match. Looking ahead, MIBR face a tough path: they’ll either go up against Team Liquid Visa, the team that denied them the regional trophy, or G2 Gozen, one of the most experienced squads in the tournament.

Ninetails leaves GCC 2025

Although Ninetails didn’t perform as they had hoped, the team proved that this tournament is about much more than VALORANT. Ultimately, it’s about having fun, gaining experience, and connecting with amazing people from all over the world.

After their defeat, MIBR GC Giulia "lissa" Lissa came to hug Park "332" Min-ju, leaving us with one of the most memorable moments in the tournament. "Since we’re rookies, I know how she might be feeling. I can’t relate to everything, but I told her to keep her head up and stay strong. She’s got this, and I’m looking forward to seeing her again next year," lissa said on the post-match press conference.

Ninetails’ first international performance is sure to make everyone proud. "I’m really proud and thankful to my teammates for getting us this far, and I’m truly glad. It’s an honor to know that we were able to make our fans proud," said Park "h4ste" Ju-hee.

"Back when we first started, our goal was just to qualify for GCC, and I thought, 'we’re actually good, this is already enough.' We had already surpassed that goal. But now that we’re actually here, finishing our journey in 7th or 8th place, it’s not so easy to feel satisfied. I think we can take this as a learning stepping stone, use the takeaways from this season, and improve so we can get better results next year," h4ste added.

"Our match against MIBR could have been our last game, so I tried to enjoy every moment. Even though the match didn’t go our way, I have absolutely no regrets. Everyone on MIBR is amazing," Jo "DaNa" Se-won added. DaNa made her international debut at just 16 years old.

A word from the coach

In a deeply emotional moment, coach Park "Hype" Min-su shared how proud he was of his players. "To be honest, I have so many good memories from this tournament. Three years ago, when I first met h4ste and Fullmon, I made a promise that we would reach the international stage together," he explained. "While preparing for GCC 2025, we worked incredibly hard. Our first goal was to win the championship, but along the way, we focused on improving ourselves and experienced many emotional moments that I’m grateful to have been part of."

Ninetails may be leaving the competition, but their presence will always be remembered, especially by those who got to meet the team for the first time. Can they come back stronger next year?

MIBR brings runner-up fire to the stage

Ninetails showed strong confidence on their Split map, but MIBR GC didn’t come to play the way they had promised, attempting to run the Lower Bracket just like last year. Even after their tough loss against Shopify, their confidence remained unshaken. Despite winning the pistol round, Ninetails couldn’t convert that small advantage and ended up dropping five rounds in a row.

Even after Ninetails closed the gap in the first half, MIBR’s confidence in their skills was already too strong to let them dream of a comeback.

The second map was even tougher for Ninetails. They didn’t stand a chance against the aggressive plays of the double-duelist combo on Bind, failing to secure control on both the defensive and attacking sides. There was nothing more Ninetails could do to change the outcome of the match.
