Across two series, Shopify Rebellion has only dropped 10 rounds. Two of the world's top Game Changers teams could not secure enough rounds combined to equal a single map victory. That's quite the accomplishment from meL and company.
After their Upper Semifinals trouncing of BBL Queens, the team took part in a post-match press conference. We were curious as to what's been clicking to deliver such results. We asked meL to let us know what she attributes to the team's incredible opening to the tournament.
"I think for us, the big focus in practice has been comms and adapting on the fly. Just having good teamwork and team play, not just popping off and shooting back. A couple teams in this tournament only tend to do the latter. We've done so much practice and put in a lot of hard work for that first part. That's how it manifests in games, and in matches, our comms have been really good so far. We hope to continue that."
A solid mix of team appreciation and criticism of the opposition in her response. We'll see if things continue to just go right for meL and Shopify Rebellion. Up next for them is defending champions G2 Gozen in the Upper Final. That one is the match we've all been waiting for.
