LucyMae’s Top 5 players of the VCT Game Changers NA

Lucy Mae rounds up her top five Valorant players from the $50,000 VCT Game Changers NA.

This past week, Riot hosted an eight team woman's Valorant event with a $50,000 prize pool. The double elimination VCT Game Changers bracket played out over three days of competition where Cloud9 White would win without dropping a map the entire series. Even though Cloud9 went undefeated, they faced stiff competition from the likes of Moon Raccoons and CLG Red. O our very own Lucy Mae breaks down her top five favorite players from the event.

C9's Kaitlin "Keiti" Boop

A former CS:GO professional, Keiti switched to Valorant early and has flourished as a duelist. As a member of C9 White, she has found her place as a Jett/Raze main. After being on trial for the team starting in January, she was only an official member of the roster a week before the event. After winning, Keiti said: "I think I'm a huge upgrade to the team and I think I help improve the roster."

"One thing is for certain, she is utterly cracked"

C9's Annie "AnnieDro" Roberts

Ranking first in tournament K/D/A at 2.7, Annie's Sova racked up 119 kills across 11 maps. Annie is known for her ability to clutch on defense or offense. Annie is notable for being the first woman player to reach Valorant's highest rank of Radiant in August, 2020.

CLG's Benita "bENITA" Novshadian

The IGL of CLG.Red, bENITA finished first in kills with 246 across 14 maps while playing Sova and Reyna. CLG Red lost early to a red hot Moon Raccoons Black and helped her team complete a trek through the lower bracket against TSM, Dignitas, and avenging their earlier loss to MR Black.

A former CS:GO world champion, bENITA displayed why she is a star fragger at the professional level. Her ability to clutch and calling abilities will ensure CLG.Red will be a problem for events to come.

CLG's (stand-in) Annie "Aniemal" lee

Ranked fifth in most kills, Aniemal is a Sage main who proved vital as a healer and a fragger as she helped to enable her team to succeed to a second place finish.

A content creator for compLexity, Aniemal competed on CLG as a stand-in, but she certainly impressed in her competitive tournament debut. Looking forward to seeing more from the Sage main in the future.

Moon Raccoons Black's Diana

A team comprised of top free agents, Moon Raccoons' third place performance made a strong argument as to why they all belong either on an org or as members of a permanent roster. The 16 year old duelist Diana rounds out our list due to her tying bENITA with the third highest combat score of the tournament (261).

She is the newest member of MR who were the only team to take C9 White to overtime (or double overtime). Unfortunately they were unable to steal a map, but their performance was truly inspiring.

Final Standings:

  • 1st Cloud9 White
  • 2nd CLG Red
  • 3rd Moon Raccoons Black
  • 4th Dignitas Female
  • 5th-6th TSM Female
  • 5th-6th OWA OWA
  • 7th-8th Man I Love Fwogs
  • 7th-8th Watch This
