After reviewing all the materials, Riot Games concluded that BBL PROFEK did not break the Riot Games Esports Global Code of Conduct.
Ahead of the VCT EMEA: Stage 2 Lower Bracket Final, a 2022 video of Dawid "PROFEK" Święć resurfaced online, drawing attention for the wrong reasons. The clip captures the BBL Esports player using offensive language. After reviewing the incident, Riot Games announced that PROFEK would not face any sanctions.
BBL Esports x GIANTX
When both BBL Esports and GIANTX were preparing for their big game, guaranteeing both a spot at the VCT EMEA: Stage 2 Grand Finals and a ticket to VALORANT Champions 2025, an old video of BBL PROFEK resurfaced online. In 2022, the controller player used offensive language during a VALORANT ranked match.
After it gained a lot of attention online, the VCT EMEA team opened an investigation to review the materials. The player was authorized to play the match, but BBL ended up losing 3-0 to GIANTX.
BBL PROFEK: "I really love this community, and I want to apologize for the things I said in a ranked game when I was 17."
It didn't take long for the Polish player to come online and apologize for the comments. BBL PROFEK explained that he didn't understand "how much he was hurting people," and he condemns the use of "racist words no matter what situation." He also apologized to Atatürk, the founding father of the Republic of Turkey, who was mentioned in the 2022 video. "The things I said years ago are not the things I believe in now, and I feel completely ashamed of what I did," he stated.
"I really want to thank all BBL fans for all your support because going into every game felt amazing. To everyone I’ve hurt, I hope you can forgive me for my mistakes."

No disciplinary action was applied
On Sept. 4, the player shared the official conclusion to the investigation. Since the incident occurred when PROFEK was competing "as a semi-professional or professional player in Riot Games' VALORANT esports ecosystem," it does not fall within the "scope of the Riot Games Esports Global Code of Conduct."
The player took the opportunity to thank his supporters and apologize once again for his past actions. “After four years, I’ve grown a lot as a person and fully understand my terrible mistakes. I truly mean it. I also want to thank my friends and BBL fans who stood by me during this situation,” PROFEK said.
Following BBL’s third-place finish at VCT EMEA: Stage 2, PROFEK reflected on his performance this year, noting that the controversy had affected him. “The emotions from that moment made it really difficult for me to step up and support my team the way I always have in every match for BBL,” he explained.
