GX and XLG fight for redemption at VALORANT Champions 2025

GIANTX (GX) and Xi Lai Gaming (XLG) are set to face each other for the first time at VALORANT Champions 2025. In this do-or-die matchup, every round and every second could be decisive, as only one team will move forward while the other’s journey ends here. A win secures a coveted spot in the Playoffs, making this clash all the more intense.

GIANTX and Xi Lai Gaming both made their international debuts this year, though in different tournaments. Xi Lai Gaming stepped onto the global stage at Masters Toronto, finishing in 7th–8th place. While not at the very top, the Chinese squad, fresh off their Ascension run, showcased a unique and promising style of play.

GIANTX, meanwhile, is experiencing its first international run, though not all of its players are new to this level. Their performance against Sentinels immediately drew attention, and their clash with Paper Rex, one of the event's favorites, further cemented their rising reputation. Now, they will fight for the last spot at the Playoffs for Group A. Paper Rex has already qualified.
