FlyQuest unveils new VALORANT team
The first step of Project Grassroots has come to life. FlyQuest has officially revealed its new VALORANT roster. Chief Gaming Officer, Christopher “PapaSmithy” Smith, came on X to clarify some doubts surrounding the project. The former roster from sleepers will be joining FlyQuest and playing at the North America Challengers 2026: Stage 2.
The roster will be:
- sorex
- ducq
- leo
- solada
- tonza
- who (head coach)
PapaSmithy said that upcoming changes to the VALORANT ecosystem at the end of 2026 influenced the organization’s decision to enter with a new roster. While a direct promotion path like Ascension no longer exists, he pointed to the more “open” Tier 2 structure, adding that “this feels like the perfect time to take young players and develop them.”

FlyQuest confirmed that its FlyQuest Red roster will remain unaffected by the new VALORANT team, with its Game Changers presence continuing as normal. The organization has also revealed the addition of the streamer and content creator Grim, popular for his weird Sage walls. He will be doing watch parties for both rosters and hype the teams as they progress in their respective journeys.

North America Challengers 2026: Stage 2
The North America Challengers 2026: Stage 2 kicked off on March 23 and will continue until May 7. Since sleepers was acquired by FlyQuest, you will no longer see the team in the tournament. At the tournament, the team has already lost a match against NRG and won against SaD Esports. FlyQuest’s upcoming match will be against Division One.
