EG allows team to pursue opportunities at EWC, but won’t be broadcasting or promoting anything related to the event on its socials.
Esports organization Evil Geniuses has announced its intentions to allow its VALORANT squad to attend and compete at the Esports World Cup later this July. EG's EWC competition comes with a caveat, however.
EG will not be running any coverage of their team on social media during the qualifier nor the main event if they make it — a way of taking a stance against the event while still allowing the squad to capitalize on an opportunity they qualified for.
