DRX crush fan favorites PRX at VALORANT Champions 2025

DRX and PRX are well-acquainted with each other from their time in the Pacific region, making this clash in Champions 2025 exciting yet familiar. Both teams have a lot at stake, as this is their last chance to advance in the tournament. DRX has overcome the 5th/6th place curse to reach this point, while PRX is considered one of the title favorites after winning Masters Toronto.

However, only one can keep going in the tournament. This will be the last Pacific battle happening in the Champions 2025 stage. Which team will come on top?

The first map was defined by an early Paper Rex dominance, putting DRX in a very difficult starting position. Yet, DRX refused to go down without an incredible comeback, led by HYUNMIN, who scored 36 kills in a single match. Just when it seemed like an easy win for an overconfident PRX, DRX surprised everyone, fighting back at every opportunity. Their talented roster overcame the dominant PRX and secured a hard-fought victory on Ascent.

The second map played out a bit differently. Both teams were already warmed up, resulting in a more balanced game. DRX stuck with their mosquito composition, which PRX also brought to this high-stakes, do-or-die series. There was no room for mistakes.

DRX was one map away from the Lower Bracket Final, while PRX was one map away from finishing their Champions 2025. The pressure in this second map was unbelievable. But Paper Rex was not able to recover from a dominant DRX. The Korean team is now one Bo5 away from reaching the Grand Finals, but first, they will need to defeat FNATIC on Oct. 4.
