DRX names K-pop idol Hina of QWER as new brand ambassador

Hina, QWER’s youngest member and avid VALORANT player, takes on new role as DRX brand ambassador across all esports titles.

DRX unveiled award-winning K-pop singer Jang "Hina" Nayoung (장나영) as their new brand ambassador. Hina is the youngest member of rising Korean K-pop group QWER, and a popular cosplayer and TikToker in South Korea.

Outside of her career as a K-pop star, Hina is also a big gamer and has an existing connection to one of DRX's strongest game titles, VALORANT. Not only does Hina play, but she also appeared in a YouTube series alongside other content creators at VCT Champions 2024 in South Korea.

The two-part series entitled Valorant 5-Inyong Squad (발로란트 5인뇽), hosted by Hina and Kim Egg, saw Hina form an all-star team with other content creators and tour the venue and activations.

Despite her ties to VALORANT, DRX told esports.gg that Hina will serve as an ambassador across all of its esports divisions, including League of Legends. The organization emphasized plans to collaborate with her throughout the calendar year.

When asked if Hina might join the DRX VALORANT team at VCT Champions Paris in September, DRX did not confirm nor deny, adding only that “nothing is off the table.”
