After a thrilling best-of-three series, BBL fell 1-2 to Team Liquid in the VCT EMEA: Stage 2 Upper Bracket Final. In an exclusive interview with esports.gg, duelist Burak "LêwN" Alkan reflected on his performance, admitting he carries much of the guilt for the loss. Now, the focus shifts to resetting and preparing for their final opportunity to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2025 and reach the tournament's Grand Final.
BBL LewN reflects on his performance against Team Liquid
esports.gg: BBL came into this match as underdogs in many people's eyes. How did you and the team turn that into motivation?
BBL LewN: I don't know what to say now. I thought we would win today. In the Bind game, I thought we would going to win, but we did something wrong, especially me. I think I made a lot of mistakes, in my opinion, and I need to fix them in one day. Tomorrow, we will be different.
Between NAVI and GIANTX, who do you think you will fight against tomorrow?
BBL LewN: I don't know. I'm not feeling anything right now.
That play against Brimstone where you keep shooting throughout his ult. What was crossing your mind? How did you do that?
BBL LewN: My friends told me he was very low HP, and I knew I needed to gamble it. I just pushed through and kept shooting. If I didn't, he would play time.
Your aggressive style is a big part of BBL’s success. How do you approach adjusting that when facing teams with stronger anti-strats, like Liquid showed today?
BBL LewN: I think I made a lot of mistakes due to my aggressive style. I couldn't find a balance. In my opinion, that's the reason we lost today.

This is the third time Team Liquid is on your way to make it to an international event, even though you still have a chance to go to Champs. Even with a loss today, what gives you confidence that you can bounce back and still reach Champions?
BBL LewN: Of course, I can't think a lot after this loss today. However, I need to reset myself tonight, so tomorrow I can prepare myself. I need to do it. I know what I need to do to fix it by tomorrow.
Looking ahead, what message do you want to send to your fans who might be nervous after this result?
BBL LewN: First of all, I'm sorry. I think if I hadn't made mistakes, we could have won this match. I will rewatch the match, see my errors, and so can fix them. The only thing I can say is "I'm sorry."
